Our house is a renovated farm that was built 1943. It has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room space with unlimited view over fields with roaming mares and foals and down to the sea. We have four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath tub. There are all facilities for cooking in the house, and our guests can have full acsess using all cooking oils and spices, coffe and a nice selection of tea´s. We also welcome our guests with a bottle of wine. Exit on to the patio with outdoor sauna is trough the bathroom. The house is located on a horse breeding farm close to the magical Snæfellsjökull and the old town of Stykkishólmur. There are so many things to do and see in Snæfellsnes national park. Driving to the little harbour in Arnarstapi, tasting the lovely seafood soup at the cafe down by the sea in Hellnar or hiking up the glacier. There is also a nice cave to visit, (URL HIDDEN) , or a hike through Rauðfelldsgjá (URL HIDDEN) Stykkishólmur is also a must visit, gourmet restaurant called Narfeyrarstofa, the black nordic house or the museum with water from all the glaciers in Iceland. Best fish and chips in Iceland by the harbour and also Narfeyrarstofa and the Nordic house is nice to visit :) A horse riding trip on the beach is not to be missed :) A nice historic hike is up to a small mountain Helgafell close to Stykkishólmur. There is a guide there and they charge ISK 400 per person for the hike. It is an easy walk, takes no more than 15 minutes to go to the top, but the view from the mountain is amazing over the Breiðafjörður bay and the islands there. The area around Hótel Búðir is also a nice hike, white beach, lava and an old black church. Seals can also be spotted at the beach of farm Ytri Tunga, just on the way to Búðir, Arnarstapi and Hellnar (road 54).

We had a lovely stay for several days at this well-designed home located in a lush, beautiful environment—we were able to cook with the fully stocked kitchen, explore the peninsula, and enjoy time in the space and around the property. It was a perfect resting spot for our family after driving around the country.
We had an amazing stay. The decor is homey and tastefully done. Beds are very comfortable and being on a horse farm was a bonus treat. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
Beautiful location lovely property. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A great spot if you would like to tour the Peninsula while staying in Iceland! A couple of nice restaurants within a five minute drive. Really a beautiful spot and a wonderful location if you are looking for a more rural experience and access to the peninsula.
Beautiful, relaxing property and great home base for exploring the peninsula. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware needed for food prep and use of oils/spices was nice! I highly recommend bringing groceries as there are no markets nearby. Though there are plenty of good restaurants within driving distance. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come again!

Beautiful home! Comfortable and colorful. Horses sweet!
We all felt comfortable in this lovely environment. Close to a very friendly and delicious breakfast restaurant. It was easy to travel to all of the interesting areas on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Beautiful location easy to find.

Thank you for your kind words. We really enjoyed having you stay with us :)
The house is absolutely perfect! We used it as our base to explore for a few days and couldn’t be happier. The views are amazing and the perfect backdrop to enjoy a coffee or read. The house is beautiful inside and out and the hosts are highly responsive. Can’t wait to return!
Easy arrival thanks to the instructions given by Nadine. We immediately felt at home. We greatly appreciated the book of hikes in the Snaefelness peninsula (even though in Icelandic) ! The view from the house is stunning, always changing with such a beautiful light.
Our stay at Nadia's house in Snæfellsnes was wonderful all around. The home is spacious and easily housed the 5 of us. The upstairs rooms are better suited for shorter people but our two 185cm+ teenagers managed fine. The kitchen is well-stocked with pans, cooking implements, dishware and cutlery. The place was spotlessly clean and felt very much like a tastefully and nicely modernized rustic ranch home.
The location served as a great base for trips to the south coast of Snæfellsnes and to Stykkishólmur. It is a little remote from a supermarket, but there's petrol within 5km so no worries there.
Nadia was super-repsonsive as a host, and generously provided a nice snack and free use of spices and cooking oils, as well as linens. We stayed 4 nights and were able to use the laundry machines which was a big help.
Getting to watch horses gamboling outside the windows was heartwarming, and the setting is gorgeous. I would recommend Nadia's place to anyone seeking a quiet and lovely refuge while touring Snæfellsnes.
Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautifully decorated home, with a unique location on a working horse farm (but still quite peaceful), well situated for hikes and sightseeing on the peninsula. The kitchen (and indeed the whole house) is very well outfitted; we felt super comfortable and at home here. Excellent communication throughout. We stayed 4 nights—could happily have stayed a week. Would love to come back someday!

It is a shame that these guests did not realise that Borgarnes is not on Snæfellsnes peninsula. It is VERY clear in the description of our property, that it is located on a fully operated horse breeding farm, therefore with staff on site. If you do not like horses and dogs, then our place is not for you. Our dogs are normally not there but travel with us, but during this period we where abroad and therefore they where in the country side. If people need to use the laundry space , we leave that open on request.
This was certainly the highlight of our trip! The home is beautiful and very comfortable. A great location on the peninsula. One of the best places our family has ever stayed in - it was a wonderful experience.
