Just renovated ! Gorgeous Master bath! 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor condo that sleeps 4. Fully equipped kitchen, outdoor lanai, 2 televisions, in-unit laundry, wireless internet, sofa bed. Unit is approximately 700 square feet. This is an ocean-front property with only approximately 100 yards of sprawling lawn between you and the beach. Shared amenities include barbecue, large swimming pool, hot tub, 4 shuffle board courts, , indoor workout gym, herb garden, floral gardens, putting green, pickle ball and tennis courts. There is an activities center located on site where you can book activities such as whale watching, golfing, luaus, and snorkeling excursions. Hawaii Tax ID number 58130943-01

Phenomenal location and property! We made use of everything this home had to offer: beach, pool/hot tub, beach and snorkel gear, well stocked kitchen, fans Anna AC as needed. The host was very responsive and very kind!

Perfect location for a family vacation

We loved staying here! The location was perfect for restaurants and beaches. We loved the ground floor and walking right out to the beach, pool and hot tub. We saw turtles on the beach in the mornings!

Lots to do! We played yard games every day on the beautiful lawn. The location of the condo was so conveniently located near fantastic restaurants and grocery stories. The condo was also very quiet - I didn't hear other people's muffled conversations! I was impressed with the kitchen of the VRBO too. Great spaces for preparing meals and lots of quality kitchen ware to do the job. I would definitely stay in this location again!

Great Location

We enjoy our stay. The condo was well stocked. Plenty of towels, dishes and furniture. Loved that there were beach towels, snorkel gear and beach toys. Locations was perfect. The ground were very well taken care off. The pool and garden were very close by. Hope to come back very soonPS There are now plenty of dishwasher pods for a few months as of May 2025

I have stayed at Maui Sunset over 30 times in several different units. This unit is located on the bottom floor. The only downside of staying on the bottom floor is noisy neighbors who use the grass as additional space to hang out. If you want more of a private experience i would recommend the 5th floor with better views. The condo was clean and well stocked. The cooking pans and bed linens could be upgraded a bit, but nothing that was a deal breaker. It was nice being able to park very close to the front door of unit to bring in groceries, ect. I would definitely consider booking this unit again because of the fair price and access to the ground level.

Celebrating my 40th birthday, just my husband and I. This property and unit were absolutely perfect. I loved the ground floor to be able to go the beach and come back for anything so easily. Already dreaming of returning, maybe with the kids this time ;-)

Wonderful Again

This was our second time staying at this condo. We loved it the first time and loved it again. Our young kids, ages 5 and 3, really enjoyed the easy access to the lawn, the pool and grills. Communication with the owners was easy and they were very responsive and helpful. We will try to stay here again the next time we are in town.

Great space and location!

The condo was the perfect size for my husband and I and was in the perfect location for us to explore the entire island. It was clean and well-stocked, and the communication was fabulous and easy with the owners. We had a wonderful honeymoon and cannot wait to return to Maui! Thank you!

The condo is on the ground floor with easy access to pool and beach. Beautiful sunset views. It is well equipped with everything you would need and quickly feels just like home. Close to grocery shopping and restaurants. A definite do over!

Great Amenities

The unit was well equipped from kitchen chen wares, washer dryer, dishwasher, appliances and beach equipments. Sleeping arrangements were good for 4 people with 2 shares. Pool and closeness to the water made it easy to stay close to the property. Shopping close enough for walking. Good support staff especially the security guard who was frirhrk and helpful.

Our family of four loved the condo and it was perfect for our week in Hawaii. The unit has everything needed and is well kept. The Maui Sunset complex is great and has something for everyone. Our teens loved playing football on the lawn, tennis and the large pool. Check in/out was easy as was communication with the host. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Property

This was our 2nd time staying at the Maui Sunset. This condo is on the ground level and the owners provide you with everything you need. They are very responsive too. We have a toddler and a 1 year old and they thoroughly enjoyed running around the lawn outside of the condo. The Maui Sunset grounds are well kept, and the pool is well maintained. We would love to come back to this property again someday.

There is not a lovelier master bath at Maui Sunset! ....incredible job with lovely tiling and fixtures. The etched dolphin and whale tiles added such a great touch. The condo has everything you need in the lovely kitchen and you are steps to pool and barbecue. Cannot ask for more!

Fantastic property

This unit was just fantastic in all aspects for our family of 4. Clean, decor was fresh and homey. Everything we needed was available in our unit. It was just a short walk to the beach and we took advantage of everything Maui Sunset had to offer, pool, shuffleboard, putting green and tennis, we DID it all! Best of all was probably the location in Kihei. We were minutes to restaurants, beaches and shopping! Mary and Bob were gracious hosts whose communications were apppreciated and very prompt, thank you. We highly recommend this condo for anyone looking to spend a little time in Maui paradise, our trip was phenomenal

Nice location and beautiful sunset

Kihei was a great place to stay for being centrally located on the island with lots a good eating places nearby. The beach by the property isn’t great for swimming in, but is a beautiful sunset. The condo was nice and had two bathrooms which was a plus. My only complaint was that either the prior people that stayed or the cleaning crew placed wet boogie boards and chairs in the bedroom closet which caused it to reek of mildew. We kept the closet closed the entire time. Also the bedroom fan remote was not working initially. It worked after I removed the batteries and replaced them.

Perfect for active families

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The condo was stocked with pretty much everything you would need for a busy family. Go to the grocery store and you can pretty much cook every night if that's what you want. We bbq'ed about half of our vacation for dinner which saved us a bunch of money I'm sure. Breakfast is fast and easy which is what you want since your beach time is limited by the winds kicking up by noon or 1 every day. We planned beach time every morning then planned a hike or go see it in the afternoon in order to avoid the rough surf and wind. The grounds at the condo were kept immaculate. The beach gear was adequate. We used the cooler almost everyday since we were on the go so much. We packed lunches and left the condo. Didn't get back until after sunset many evenings. The beaches outside the condo weren't perfect for swimming. In fact we didn't swim there once. We had already had our fill of ocean by the time we got back to the condo every day. But they were adequate for enjoying the beautiful sunsets and romantic walks. Though the winds don't usually settle until after sunset. Overall, the condo is perfect for a budget friendly launchpad for going out and seeing the island. Our favorite part was every evening when we were dead tired we would sit back and BBQ outside. Every night they light the tiki torches on the condo grounds. It was so nice to sit back and enjoy the evening with beer in hand, torches everywhere and the sound of wind in the beautiful trees. The people were all nice in the complex and only a few nights we felt like we weren't alone. But he nights when there were a lot of people out, they were all happy and friendly. Most just bbq-ing or hanging out drinking. It was great. Never once did we get bothered from noises inside or out. Thanks for sharing your condo! Would love to do it again soon, but it won't be soon enough.

Merveilleux séjour à Maui

Le condo permet à 4 adultes séjourner très confortablement(les parents dans une chambre avec salle de bain et deux enfants dans le salon/cuisine avec salle de bain). Il offre les mêmes commodités que notre maison. Vraiment super !. Nous avions une voiture et nous avons visité beaucoup de plages et d'endroits différents pour faire de la plongée en apnée, de la randonnée et du surf. Le Maui Sunset est très bien situé entre les plages de la région de Wailea et celles de la région de Lahaina. Deux épiceries et plusieurs restaurants sont à proximité du condo. C'est notre deuxième séjour au Maui Sunset et nous espérons y retourner un jour. Merci Michel

We are a married, retired couple who would love to share our beachfront oasis with you! As we are Canadian, we cannot stay the whole year, so we enjoy hosting visitors.

Why they chose this property

Anyone who has been to Maui, and in particular Kihei, knows why this area is so popular among travelers. The weather is sunny and warm year round, the sunsets spectacular and the island of Maui offers hundreds of activities. After looking all over Kihei, the Maui Sunset is the most attractive and centrally located condo for vacationers. You won't be disappointed!

What makes this property unique

OCEANFRONT: very few Maui properties are oceanfront. 2 Bathrooms!
Maui Sunset is now a non smoking resort. Smoking is allowed only at the allotted benches in both parking lots.
We use mainly LED lighting in the condo. There are bins for recyclables in the parking lot.
On Saturdays in Maui from 7 -1 or 2 there is a flea market for vegetables and all kinds of hand made goods, flowers and souvenirs. It is located in Kahului behind the Univ. of Hawaii campus.
