Why this property ? When looking for property to purchase, we immediately fell in love with the grounds and the comfortable feel of the property. Ava Haus represented the authentic heritage of what has been so lovingly preserved in the city of Fredericksburg. Also; the location is perfect!
It is away from the center of town, yet close enough to be in downtown in less than 3 minutes. Unique Ava Haus allows guests to enjoy the benefits of the country and still be minutes from wineries, shopping, restaurants and the natural parks of the area. Guests can have a true feel for the history of the region when they stay in an authentic German homestead complete with the original well, thick limestone walls and even the original root cellar where the pioneers stayed during times of danger. At Ava Haus, we welcome your entire family to include children and pets. Extra fee for pet.

Each guesthouse has a TV with satellite, WI-FI internet, refrigerator always stocked with yogurt, juice, and water. The kitchenette provides coffee, tea, and a selection of snacks. Microwave per guesthouse. Guests are free to enjoy board games, BBQ grills, and explore the ample grounds.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please wash any dirty dishes and empty water reserve on coffee pot.
Return any moved furniture to original place.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guest responsible for gathering trash and placing in trash container outside. Please was any dishes used during your stay.
Please do not move our furniture or raise/lower our old, fragile,windows (unless emergency). Thank you.

Great stay

Amazing!

We loved this house! The decor and environment is so very nice. Patricia had snacks, baked muffins, juice and water for us, the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place to stay. We loved sitting out on the back porch in the evenings And close to town where we spent our days.

Relaxing Weekend Trip

This was my 2nd visit to this property, and I will continue to return. The location is great and the house it self was charming. There many nice added touches that made us feel so welcome. This is a great place to unwind with a nice selections of restaurants near. It was once again a very enjoyable experience.

2 friends and I stayed for 2 nights and had a great time! The living room was spacious and comfortable for relaxing after the wineries and the bathroom was clean and large enough for us all to get ready easily. The kitchenette had everything we needed: keurig, tea bags, mugs, and a small fridge. The property was beautiful and I would definitely stay again!

Great house. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay, and the house was very nice and accommodating. The only issue was some coffee cups that had to be cleaned prior to use due to coffee stains. There was also a cracked wine glass. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect trip!

The Ava Haus Suite was an absolute perfect fit for my family of four. We even were able to bring our pup. The suite is huge and was incredibly clean. The beds were comfortable and we had an array of snacks and movies to choose from. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Thank you!

Fantastic stay in Fredericksburg

Everything about our stay was excellent! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and Patricia even left fresh muffins, snacks a fridge stocked with water and juice, and even a bottle of wine. Patricia has 5 rental units on the same piece of land. I hope to coordinate a couples trip with friends in the near future and rent all of the units at the same time.
