Loved our 3-day stay at Little Neck for many reasons. Delightful historic family home, stunning view at the edge of a pristine ocean inlet, marsh grasses of changing color all day. Great birding, array of boats, locals fishing,, Surrounding towns interesting and fun.
Thank you for letting us use your amazing house for our family reunion. There was plenty of space for 8 adults and the view is just spectacular. A relaxing and enjoyable trip.

Little Neck is a very special place. My wife and I spent a wonderful week there with our two young children eating meals on the porch, messing around in the river, exploring nearby walking trails, and traveling to local beaches. We

Wonderful spot for a family gatherijng
This was the most beautiful place for a family gathering with our future in-laws.
We brought our kayaks and enjoyed paddling the Slocum River.
Also, many beautiful hikes around the adjoining Lloyd Center area.
The house reeks of family connection and it was infectious!

Thank you, Sarah! We're so glad you had such a pleasant stay!
Little Neck is a serene vacation spot, surrounded on two sides by water and the other two by woods. We loved sitting in the living room or on the front patio looking out at the scenery. We will be back for sure.

The South Shore of Massachusetts is a great place to visit - so many interesting places to hike and kayak and shop and eat and explore....And then to be able to go back to Little Neck and sit on the porch that looks over the mouth of the Slocum River out to Buzzards Bay and the Elizabeth Islands. I can't imagine any place nicer than that!
Beautiful New England setting on the water, informal house in a fabulous setting, direct water access makes for non-stop boating and swimming. Couldn't;t have been happier.
We loved our stay at Little Neck. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the comprehensive house book made sure we didn't have any questions about the house and the area - from A to Z.
We enjoyed walking around the property and relaxing on the porch with a beverage. The views are to die for!
There are lots of books to read and a piano for those who play. And each bedroom has a private bathroom.
I only wish we could have stayed longer! We can't wait to come back!
Six long-time friends spent a splendid week at the house and not one had a complaint, except that Charlotte's cookies ran out too fast.

Absolutely breath taking location
Just came back from a week at Little Neck with the kids and dog. What a spot! We brought our boat and tied right up to the dock which was a huge plus. We explored the Slocum River and Buzzards Bay all week. I had an issue with the boat and the owners put me in touch with a marina to help with the problem. If you love the ocean, this spot is for you.

We're so glad you had an enjoyable week at Little Neck! It sounds as if you enjoyed the Slocum River and the Bay as much as we did as kids, and do now as adults. We hope you come back sometime!
Gathering in this classic "summer" home over Thanksgiving week would have been perfect during any Thanksgiving, and it was especially perfect to gather here with our family during Covid.
The light, the sunrises, the sunsets, moon rises, the moon sets,
the water, the river wildlife and the comfort of this very special home
were very hard to say good-bye to. We are thankful the wonderful owners are willing to share their home with us.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope you will return soon.
This house could not have a better situation, in terms of privacy, view, access to water and a killer porch that sucked us in for many an hour. The four bedrooms, each with their own bath is great, as is the big dinner table. The house itself is wonderful, with many of the owners' treasures, lots of inspiring books, binoculars and good olive oil. The owner met us and was there if we needed anything, but we didn't. Best weekend, best place, I can't wait to go back!

I'm so glad you had such a good time! Please come back any time!
Thanks
Had a nicet time at the house. It is an old house that has had very few updates. More like a museum than a rental accommodation. The kitchen was very old and could use a big update and a good cleaning Appliances, pots and pans, microwave, outdoor grill, coffee maker have seen better days The owners were responsive to my requests.

I'm glad you had a good time at Little Neck! Most people find staying in a old New England seaside house with all the old photos, books, etc. a large part of the charm! I'm glad my sister could respond to your queries. Thanks for staying at our childhood home!
About the host
Hosted by Katy Zappala
Our house was built in the early 1900s as a summer house. Our parents purchased the property in 1961, and had the house winterized in the late sixties. In the 70s, the upper bedroom was added and the house split into two units. The three sisters (Charlotte, Jenny & Katy) now own Little Neck and continue enjoying swimming, fishing and kayaking in the river with their families, as we hope will you!
What makes this property unique
From the porch, one can see only part of one other house, and that is a ways down the Slocum River.
