About the host

Hosted by Caroline Farrell

Host profile image
I’m Caroline, a teacher originally from Sydney, and I’ve called the beautiful Southern Highlands home for the past eight years. I love living here for the fresh air, the rolling green hills, and the peaceful walks that clear the mind and nourish the spirit. Sharing this place through hosting is such a joy, as I love welcoming guests to experience the calm and beauty of this special corner of the world.

I enjoy cooking in my beautiful kitchen, especially when using fresh local produce from nearby markets, and I believe that a well-prepared meal and a warm, comfortable home can bring people together in the best way. Travel is also a passion of mine, and I know how much a welcoming, well-thought-out space can make a trip memorable. It’s important to me that guests feel cared for and can slow down while enjoying the stunning surroundings, from bushwalks near Fitzroy Falls to exploring nearby villages.

Hosting my own home allows me to share what I love about the Southern Highlands while helping others create their own special memories here. I look forward to welcoming you soon.

Why they chose this property

I love the Southern Highlands for its simple, breathtaking beauty and its four distinct seasons that each bring their own charm. Autumn is my favourite, with the streets lined in glowing reds and golds as the trees change, making even a walk to the local café feel special. I also love how close we are to everything—just a short drive to Sydney for city visits and under an hour to the stunning South Coast beaches for a swim or a long walk by the sea. The area is rich with fresh local produce, excellent restaurants, and a welcoming creative community of artists and makers, adding a touch of culture and warmth to everyday life here. It truly is a place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the best of nature and good living.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property truly special is the way it captures the essence of the Southern Highlands while offering a sense of quiet luxury and comfort. You’ll wake up to stunning views across rolling green meadows, with cows grazing peacefully just beyond your window, creating a sense of calm you won’t find elsewhere. The spacious bathrooms, including a beautiful soaking bath, add a touch of indulgence to your stay, while the tasteful, modern interiors bring comfort and class to your country escape.

This property may be appealing purely for its land size, set on approximately half an acre surrounded by National Park and large pastoral rural farmland, ensuring privacy and a true feeling of space. You’re perfectly positioned to explore the region, with stunning bushwalks and waterfalls nearby, boutique shops, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Southern Highlands villages just a short drive away. It’s the ideal place to slow down, reconnect, and savour the beauty of this unique part of the world.
