About this property

Grandma's House

Welcome to Grandma's House - a getaway rental that preserves the charm of our beloved Cottonport. Come relax and step back in time on the banks of beautiful Bayou Rouge! Restoration in loving memory of Dora and Nelson Andress.

Our home has the following:
• Three bedrooms (1 queen bed and 2 full beds)
• Two bathrooms (1 shower/tub and 1 tub)
• Spacious living room
• Full kitchen
• Formal dining room
• Covered patio
• Outside laundry room
• Two car garage

Guests have access to the home, garage, laundry room, patio and pergola area as well as the yard. There is no guest access to the locked shed.

The interior home is pet free and smoke free. A $100 cleaning fee will be added on if these two requests are not followed.
Six guests are allowed to sleep at the property per night. If more than six are confirmed, there will be an additional $15 charge per person per night.

Other things to note:
Welcome to Grandma's House! We are so excited to share our home on Bayou Rouge. Built in 1949 by Nelson Andress, our father, Grandma's House is a time capsule. Nelson and Dora Andress were the first to build this far down Horseshoe Drive, and as they told it, scraped each brick themselves in order to complete the construction. Our fond memories in this neighborhood, on this street, along this bayou are infinite. Our hope is that whoever comes to visit Grandma's House can feel just a little of the nostalgia that a house of this age and charm can emit. Allow yourself to slow down, get cozy by the fireplace, drink a cup of coffee on the patio, listen to the birds sing while swinging under the oak, and let the peace of this home wash away your worries.
