We are a no shoe inside property and provide slippers! Our homestead setting is rural, however it’s full of dirt, stones and sap from pine trees that damage our beautiful furnishings. ! To respect our beautiful interiors, we ask no boots or shoe - wearing inside. Of course - No smoking in or out. Thank you!

I think this location would be perfect for a romantic getaway for a couple, but on this particular visit to Santa Fe, I was traveling alone. While I liked the peace and quiet of the location, the gauzy curtains on every window made me feel a bit exposed at night. Also, I’ve stayed at dozens of vacation rentals over the years, but this was this only time I was asked to remove my shoes at the door and the flip flops provided didn’t keep my feet warm. I will say, however, that this was the cleanest property I’ve experienced, and the decor was very nicely executed. I just prefer a more relaxed, less strict experience for future trips.

Anita, We are not sure why you give a 4 to a super 5-star property because you booked as a solo, knowing from our description that it's a private 1 acre property. Within minutes of booking, we share we are a no-shoe property, and to bring your favorite slippers (we supply in case you forget). If these conditions don't align with you - why didn't you cancel at the time of booking? Why put a negative spin on us - when it was your poor decision making and alignment. all the best, kris
