Great location to bus stop into Manhattan. Just a 2 min walk. Nice accommodations for the price. The two cons were low ceiling height and shower height. Anyone over 5’10 will hit their head with an even lower clearance into basement. Washer/dryer listed in pictures but when inquired to use was told there was a 20 fee.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the ceiling height; as described in the listing, it is a basement unit, so it does have a lower clearance. Regarding the washer and dryer, we understand how seeing them in the photos might have caused confusion. We included the pictures to show all available amenities, but to keep our base nightly rate affordable, laundry is offered as an optional add-on for an extra fee, as explained during your stay. We apply this policy for additional services so we can maintain a lower overall price for guests who don't need them. We hope this clarifies things! Apartment was clean and it was nice that the bedrooms had their own doors. Additionally the bathroom is in the hallway so no need to go through a bedroom to get to it. Couple downfalls are the lack of a coffee maker and Kleenex, the cost of a taxi/Uber due to the 16 fee to cross the Lincoln Tunnel, and the height of the ceilings and doorways. My partner and I are 6 ft - we continually had to remind each other to duck our heads due to low bulkheads and doorways. Overall a decent stay.

Hi Michael, thanks for the review and for noting how clean and well-laid-out the apartment was! We always want our guests to have the best and most affordable experience, which is why we highly recommend taking local buses into NYC. There are incredibly convenient bus stops right at the corner of our street, taking you directly into the city for a fraction of the cost and bypassing the hefty Uber/taxi toll fees for crossing Lincoln Tunnel. Regarding the ceilings, our listing does note that this is a basement apartment, so the height is standard for this type of units, though we understand it can be an adjustment for taller guests. We've also noted your feedback on the amenities, we actually just installed a new coffee maker (pictures will be updated soon!) and will ensure tissues and other toiletries are always fully stocked. Thanks again for staying with us!
