The Asa House was so wonderful. This is the first year in 5 that we have had a place to escape back to when Main Street became overwhelming. It was alot more house than we needed but it was great to be able to spread out.

A beautiful historic home in the heart of Galena! The house really had everything to offer! We loved to enjoy coffee on the patio overlooking the town! It has an excellent view! The only concern we had was bees were getting inside and we couldn’t figure out from where! The hosts were so quick to reply and offer help! We would definitely come back!

The host very kindly stated that we could check in early at 2.30pm. When we got there, door was forced closed with a lump of steel, cleaners were there and did not seem to care.Finally, we got in. Very quirky, beautiful property but found hairs in both the shower and bathroom.

We enjoyed our girls weekend! Very relaxing accommodations. The outside temp was well above 80 but the inside was nice and cool even for an old house. There were window air conditioners in most rooms, especially the bedrooms and that kept us comfortable.

The Asa house was so comfortable. We enjoyed the antiques, the library (so many books). Clean, Historical, easy to get downtown, kitchen...two coffee machines, dishes, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator. Parking was so easy! The owners truly love this home!

We absolutely loved our stay at Asa Haile House. The house had everything we could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and charming. We loved sitting in the library and browsing the books. We also enjoyed the great views down over Galena. A very short walk down the (long) stairs to get to Galena Main Street. Walking back up is a great workout, LOL :). Thank you for opening up the Gem to us!

Great View

We enjoyed the stay. The view from the front porch is excellent. The beds could be upgraded to queen size and a more comfortable sitting area in the main living room would really upgrade the experience.
