B&B The Cosy Corner, 4stars , Very nice place to stay 2km away from Strasbourg

The little town of Schiltigheim is bordering north the city of Strasbourg, the head city of the Region Alsace. Strasbourg is worlwide known for hosting European institutions ; its city-center and its german quarter (Neustadt) designated UNESCO world heritage sites ; its beautiful half-timbering houses of the Petite France ; its majestic gothic cathedral ; its most famous Christmas-Market ; its gastronomy ; its huge network of bicycle paths ; its big and good rated university, its dynamism and so much more...

Our B&B is located in the center of Schiltigheim, in a calm and pleasant area of small colored houses, with all useful facilities very close nearby (supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, post-office, tobacconist, bike rental, marketplace, restaurants....).
Its easy and quick to reach Strasbourg : you will be 3 km (1,9 miles) away from the very city center. It takes 10/12 minutes by bus (direct lines) or by bike. If you'd rather take your car, it will take approximately the same time to reach the city, but it's then complicated to run and park.
[!] From July 1, 2024, on-street parking will be subject to a charge. We are trying to enable our guests to benefit from our reduced resident rate, but as of July 1, the scheme is not yet up and running. We hope the problem will be resolved soon. When it is up and running, our guests will need to provide at least 8 days' notice: a copy of their vehicle registration document, license plate, vehicle color and brand.
The weekly rate for this resident pass should be €6.



Description of the lodging :
B&B The Cosy Corner was officially ranked 4**** accommodation on Sept. 2017, and again on Sept. 2022 (French tourism authorities), for 5 years.

The appartment is really cozy for a single person or a couple (+ baby). We used to accept up to 4 adults, but choosed recently to reduce to two persons sleeping in the same bed.

Duration of stay : from five nights, to a week, a month and more. Prices on sliding scale: please do consult us. Maintenance fees (water, heating, power) are included, as well as Internet connection. Sheets and towels are supplied with. VRBO directly collects the local tax (2.75€/adult/night - 4 stars local rate in 2024)

On a raised ground floor, bordered by a small flower garden (in spring and summer, at least), this lovely 2 rooms apartment of 47 m², completely furnished and equipped with taste, will seduce the most demanding travelers.
In a 1907-house of 3 floors, this apartment has been completely renovated respecting the former, but in a contemporary way. We live upstairs.

In love with beautiful materials, we have restored the fir woodwork (floors, baseboards and doors) in their natural golden hue, and the walls have been coated with lightly pigmented lime. The furniture plays the contrast with its clean lines.
The kitchen and the bathroom are entirely new, and here too, the heat of raw wood marries harmoniously to polished concrete floors and modern lay out.

We have your comfort at heart:
The new bedding is extremely comfortable. In the bedroom, the bed of 160 x 200 cm (63 x 79 inches) is composed of 2 very thick and fluffy mattresses and 2 quality bedsteads. Duvets and pillows are made of eiderdown; bed linens are of cotton percale; towels are very soft.
In the living room, a Ligne Roset designed sofa and a leathern Roche Bobois designed model will secure a comfortable stay.

A demanding equipment:
· The apartment is connected to Internet through optic fiber, accessible in WiFi and LAN. A connected TV screen (French programs) is at your disposal. We offer Netflix.

· In the kitchen, you'll find a high-end of Siemens and De Dietrich brand equipment: induction, rotating heat oven plate, hood with external aspiration, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave. All the necessary dishes, cutlery, kitchen utensils and small appliances (standard coffee machine, Nespresso coffee machine, water boiler, toaster, mixer...) necessary for daily use is put at your disposal. It can be completed in case of need.
A powerful vacuum cleaner, a good iron and ironing board are also available.
· In the bedroom, you will find a large and well laid out dressing, a small desk and a large mirror.
· In the bathroom, a washing machine 9kg and a hairdryer complete the equipment.
· Some green plants add a pleasant touch of life
