NOT CORPORATE OWNED.... ONE OWNER! :)

Sunny, bright, well furnished apartment in River West in a great neighborhood. Tons of great restaurants within walking distance. Starbucks around the corner. Laundry is available IN the unit along with a large flat screen tv with netflix, hulu, hbogo and local channels. There is also a Bluetooth speaker to sync up your music. Wifi included as well. "Alexa" is also available. Ask her to play your favorite music or find out what the weather will be like for the day. Seperate room with dining room table if you need to sit down to eat or use it as a work table. Both bedrooms have queen size luxury memory foam mattresses and 1000tc sheets and duvets (ALL of which-including the mattress pads are cleaned between EACH guest). The sofa can be used so a 5th person can sleep there but the aerobed is more comfortable and will also sleep 2. While it is listed to sleep up to 6, I did that in case people have children they need accomadations for. The apartment itself is perfectly suited for 4 adults. If you decide to go with 6 just be aware it will be a little cramped. Bedding is included. Toiletries, soap, and towels are also included. There is a kruig coffee maker (coffee pods included), microwave, toaster oven, full size stove and fridge.

Nice home close to downtown

This house was a nice cute home in a quiet neighborhood. Everywhere we wanted to go downtown was within 15 minutes. Definitely recommend if you plan on being downtown frequently. We had everything we needed.

Great Location

This is a cozy townhouse. Everything was provided as in the listing and very clean. The highlight for us was the location. Such a quiet area for being practically in the big city. Whatever you need is practically within walking distance and everything else is just an inexpensive Uber ride away. The Irish Pub on the corner is very convenient. We really like The Breakfast Club for breakfast as well as The Bongo Club suggested by the owner. Speaking of the owner, Nikkole was very helpful and responsive to our needs.

Very good all around stay.

The Owner is very very thoughtful and has the place set up with all kinds of extras to make you feel at home. It was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed being able to walk to a couple of nearby restaurants and it was easy to Uber Downtown.

Our weekend close to downtown Chicago

With a little more effort (sprucing up the entry and front windows) this place would have a 4+ star rating. The access to WiFi and Roku was very nice. We didn't need it but there is a washer & dryer available on the premise as well as a stocked kitchen. The memory foam mattresses were comfortable. One bedroom is tiny with a bed tucked under a sloped ceiling but was still totally usable and comfy. The host responded quickly when we were running low on coffee and provided other cookie treats as well! The room air purifiers were needed and helped. Nice location and neighborhood.

Thank you for staying with us. We are in middle of a rehab at the moment and should be installing new windows by the end of the summer. We finished new brickwork last fall and I've been slowly saving for new windows. It is definitely a work in progress. I am glad you found the interior as mentioned and liked the mattresses. I hope on your next stay we will have everything completed.

Great place and nice host

This apartment was very nice and clean and exactly as described. I did struggle with a couple of things like no communication on checking out, no internet password provided, and it was very low on toilet paper. The host was easy to communicate with leading up to our stay, but we were only there for one night and did not realize that some of these things were lacking until late at night/early in the morning. We were fine without use of the wifi and I communicated when I left, but having three partial toilet paper rolls for 6 people was awkward and uncomfortable. As I said, I did not communicate this to the host until early in the morning on our check out date, but it was an issue. The apartment was easy to find, comfortable, and cozy. I do believe if I had communicated with her about wifi, checking out, and toilet paper earlier that she would have mitigated the issues. I would suggest leaving a sign on the table with the check out information (like where to leave the key) and the wifi password, as well as more toilet paper in the linen closet for future guests. Overall, this was a pleasant experience.

I'm so sorry that you did not communicate your needs. So readers can understand I placed this group in a larger three bedroom unit so they could have a dinner party (AT NO EXTRA COST) instead of the booking that was listed. Because it would have been too complicated to cancel the existing reservation we just left as is. I worked with their chef to provide early access to the unit so she could start dinner for them. The internet information is listed on the listing for the unit but because I gave them the bigger unit it didn't occur to either of us that she wouldn't have access to its information - like the internet pw. Something I could have EASILY provided with a text. This particular unit is also above where I live. I could have supplied whatever was needed or missing. I do feel a three star rating is a bit low considering the larger unit at no extra cost, working with your personal chef and allowing a gathering in the first place (which we generally don't do). Again, I feel communication was lacking and would have been the key to any discomfort in your stay.

Great option for Chicago sights

Nikkole is definitely a 5* host for a 3* stay. The place is decent - she's doing a great job of sprucing up the interior. It's obviously very old - the floor is unlevel, it's a bit drafty in the front room, but it has everything you and your family/friends need for a place to stay! Nikkole is awesome, super friendly and she totally worked with us when we arrived a bit early. She even brought by sugar and creamers for us for the coffee! The neighborhood is totally fine which I was a bit worried about knowing nothing about Chicago. 5min walk to Starbucks, 15min Uber to all of the main sights. Everything we need in the kitchen, VERY COMFY beds, NF, Alexa. Checkin was the easiest! I would absolutely go back on subsequent visits and recommend you stay here... just realize the exterior is nothing fancy, but don't let that scare you :). Thanks Nikkole!

I enjoyed this property . We were there for Christmas 🎄 and it is the perfect location. Check in: was very easy she sent the check in information sooner than the time which was perfect, but we were with family so still didn’t get there until late that evening. However that was a plus. During the stay: She was very quick and responsive. There were plenty of towels. The only minus was there were no face towels at all. Yet we made it work. The place is nice very clean and the bed is comfy. I’m not a coffee drinker but there was plenty of coffee. Check out: Simple and easy. I would definitely recommend this property. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Nikkole was very responsive to messages as we were fine tuning details on how to get checked in but once we arrived, we honestly didn't have to contact her for anything because it was all so squared away!. There were plenty of paper products, linens and everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The apartment is cute and cozy and we found ourselves wrapping up all of our touristy activities by 6 or 7 pm and just going back to the apartment to hand out and relax. Very close to downtown, just a quick 5 minute Uber ride.

The apartment was great. Very comfortable and with all the things that we needed to make our stay great after running the Chicago Marathon. The only complaint that we have is that Puerto Rico wasn't in the map on the wall 😃 We drew our beautiful island in a piece of paper and put two pins in it. We love this place. Nikkole went out her way to make sure we had what we needed and then some. It is a safe place with lots of character, access to parking and she doesn't charge an outrageous fee for cleaning or service fee like some places do. So much comfortable than a hotel and cheaper!

What a delightful experience. The owner was so helpful with tips on transportation and sites. There literally was nothing that was not provided--sheets,, lovely towels, toiletries, Keurig coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bottled water, beer, juice, every spice imaginable, cooking oil, dishes, cooking pans, utensils, parking permit. Since we weren't familiar with Chicago, we were a bit farther from our tourist sites than we thought but Uber was so easy. The neighborhood had a lovely Italian restaurant and was very safe. There was an Irish pub rightr across the street also. Thanks for a great stay in the Windy City

Cozy and Charming

We stayed for 2 nights with another couple and found the home to be charming and very cozy. Nikkole included thoughtful touches throughout the house such as coffee pods, shampoo and conditioner and laundry soap. It is obvious that she takes great pride in this cute little home. We found the neighborhood to be safe and quiet. It was easy to get downtown, but had ample stores and restaurants close including a great little Irish pub just at the end of the street. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

It's a perfect place for 2 couples or a family with some kids. The beds were super comfortable, the place was clean, and we had pots and pans to make some meals. The Irish pub on the corner 30 feet away was convenient! I felt safe in the neighborhood - a lot of the houses are getting remodeled on the street. I can't be upset at Nikkole for noise from the rude people in the apt above us but I wish I had some noise cancelling devices at times. I would definitely recommend this place overall!

Why they chose this property

This property is my "baby". She is a work in progress but I have made great efforts to make it as comfortable for my guests as possible. I have had over 100 guests (from other vacation rental sites) and I have maintained a 5 star rating on these sites. I am NOT a corporation just a woman that's been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and now sharing one of my homes. I will always be available and if there are any issues you will be dealing with me, not a corporate office out of state.

What makes this property unique

Its location is really prime. Close enough to be minutes to all the sites of Chicago but still in a "neighborhood". There is also plenty of street parking which is a plus in the big city!
