About this property
Lakeside retreat on Thompsons Point, private outdoor shower
Welcome to Lanes Shore, a nautically themed lakeside retreat that rests on the quiet and peaceful shores of historic Thompsons Point in Charlotte, Vermont.
Begin your day with coffee on any one of our three private patios. Sit and watch the colors of the sunrise come to life over the Green Mountains and Point Bay Marina’s mooring field while hearing sailboat masts chime as they rock to the breeze. A new day awaits on beautiful Lake Champlain.
The cottage has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom, while the guestroom has two twin beds with an adjacent bathroom with shower. A new comfy couch in the living room could certainly provide a comfortable night’s sleep for a fifth guest.
There is a screened-in porch for relaxing and dining as you take in the views. Two auto retractable oversized awnings provide shade while keeping cool and protected from the sun. From the kitchen, expansive sliding doors immerse you with views of the bay and mountains. There is a washer/dryer and all the kitchen items you will need to make it an easy, enjoyable, stress-free stay.
New landscaping provides privacy with patios guarded by hedges, arborvitaes, and colorful garden beds. A new dock awaits for your beachfront activities including kayaking, fishing, and swimming.
During your stay, take some time to visit local attractions and destinations the area has to offer. Burlington is 25 minutes up the road while the Shelburne Museum and Farms are a mere 15 minutes. Both Sugarbush and Stowe are within an hour’s drive for some seasonal outdoor fun in the clean mountain air of Vermont. Basin Harbor, a historic lakeside resort is a 15-minute boat ride down the lake. Feel like visiting another country and practicing your French? Montreal is a 1.5-hour drive.
Lanes Shore is perfectly situated to experience so much Vermont has to offer:
-25 minutes to downtown Burlington's vibrant waterfront and Church Street Marketplace
-15 minutes to the quaint city of Vergennes with shopping, dining, and a farmers Market
-Shelburne Farms and Shelburne Museum
-Shelburne Apple Orchards
-Hiking at Mt Philo
-Walking and biking trails
-Charlotte Ferry to New York
-Wine tasting at the Charlotte Village Winery or Shelburne Vineyards
-Breweries/Dispensaries
-Shelburne Farmer's Market
-Historic Basin Harbor Resort provides docking for beachfront water activities for the kids and fine dining
-Numerous Golf Courses to choose from within the area
Amenities include internet, smart TV's, A/C, heating, washer/dryer, grill, outdoor shower, bikes, kayaks, yard games, and board and card games
Come visit us at Lanes Shore and have a very memorable vacation.
*A mooring is provided if you have your own boat
*The dock is not meant for docking or tying up motorized boats or jet skis and tenants will lose their damage deposit regardless of if damage occurs and will be asked to terminate their stay if this occurs
*Water at Lanes Shore is from the lake so it is recommended to not drink but can be boiled for cooking and is fine for showers/baths
*Due to the shallow depth of the water, you may walk a boat in to board from the dock if possible, assuming you are not tying up
*You are able to wade out to depths to swim but won’t be able to dive off the dock
*Depth of the water is seasonal dependent
