Check in wasn’t great. Apparently there was a glitch with the app so I couldn’t get in contact with the host, but I tried on his personal cell and still got no reply. Got into the room 1 hour late because I didn’t have the codes to the room. The main room was clean and very comfortable. The window has an AC unit which is lovely. The bathroom was okay - definitely not the worst but the shower mat was super moldy so I didn’t use it. Overall okay, 3/5 stars

It was a pretty clean and great experience. The room was as shown as well as the bathroom, the description was deceptive though. It has claimed “a private entry with a private room and bathroom”. The room itself was private but the rest of it was a shared space with several other guests. The bathroom is a separate room down the hallway/stairs in the laundry room which is shared with all the other guests. None of the entries was private and could very clearly hear/smell everything all the other guests were doing. I was kept up at 1:30am with a couple of dudes yelling in the stairwell with an enormous smell of weed. The neighborhood was also a little rough but most areas around Newark are, still would have rather been told beforehand. I’m used to the budget hotel experience so none of this bothered me much but it’s information to know when booking here. Besides sleeping, nothing is private, and ALL the doors have digital key locks that make a loud ringing sound Everytime anyone opens any door. For 90 a night, I’ve had better experiences at a budget hotel, still not bad though.
