Custom Log Cabin with Teton Views and Hot tub near National Parks

See our video link for a beautiful overview of the cabin and surrounding area. http://www.youtube.com/embed/rEAbGjGh6n0?rel=0
Thistle Dew Cabin is a custom built log and timber frame home situated in the middle of 80 acres and boasts 360 degree mountain views. From the cabin porch enjoy your coffee while gazing at the backside of Grand Teton National Park's Grand Teton, Middle Teton and South Teton mountains. The cabin has 2 private bedrooms with queen beds (one with it's own small bathroom ). There are two lofts overlooking the living room; one with comfortable queen pullout (new gel mattress) and one with double bed (laddar access) suitable for teenagers and young adults. There is also an office space with a log desk.
There is a beautiful gas stove for that cozy feeling on a cold day, in floor heat, huge windows to let in the afterglow from the mountains and a tower for morning coffee, evening wine or that romantic dinner. The dining room and sun room are made from custom hand carved timber frame old Vermont maple beams for a warmth that only comes from wood. The fully outfitted kitchen has everything you need; microwave, coffee maker, pots, wine glasses, dishwasher and granite counters with induction stovetop. The front porch off of the living room is a favorite with rocking chairs and wide open views of the Tetons and Grand Targhee.
Outside there is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and telling stories and a hot tub to soak in and look at the amazing stars. The property also has a bunkhouse for the kids to play and hang out. There is also a real wood fired Swedish sauna to enjoy.
There is a guest house separate on the property. The guest house is a separate building with its own yard, hot tub and fire pit. The guest house and the cabin are separated by trees so neither place notices the other. The cabin hot tub, and fire pit are for use by cabin guests exclusively. The sauna and kid bunk house are shared.
Only 50 miles from Jackson Hole, 1,25 hour from Grand Teton National Park and only 5 minutes from Wyoming wilderness, Thistle Dew Cabin is a perfect place to relax after a day of hiking, rafting, skiing or fishing. Three of the West's most famous rivers: Henry's Fork of the Snake, South Fork of the Snake and the Teton River are all within an hour's drive from the cabin. Grand Targhee Ski Area is 30 minutes away. Grand Targhee is famous for the best powder in the West and in summer a great mountain bike destination. Nearly every summer weekend at the Ghee there is a music festival.
Come visit the quiet side of the Tetons famous for gorgeous, uncrowded hiking and mountain biking, wildlife watching, clear, cold rivers and the best powder days the West has to offer.
The town of Driggs is 5 miles down a good paved road. Driggs is the outdoor adventure capital of the area. It boasts great stores, wonderful restaurants and a modern, full service grocery store. Farmer's Markets (Friday mornings) , a balloon festival, scenic running and bike trails, Friday night rodeo action and Music on Main all make the town of Driggs a fun place to visit.

About the host

Hosted by Leslie Roth

Host profile image
Leslie and Don purchased 45 acres in 1993 to build a cabin where their family and their grand children would love to come to spend their summers and where Don and Leslie can live in retirement. It started off as a small cabin project built by the Roth family; Don and Leslie and their 3 children and guided by Leslie's brother Peter. The labor of love, and tenacity lasted more than 15 years; building up, adding on, tearing out. The resulting home is the original log cabin with timber frame additions. The tower and timber frame entry way was a gift from Leslie's brother. Come explore our custom home and the 80 acres that surround it. Enjoy, relax and get to know us by the personal touches throughout.
