This is an absolute fantastic property. The location to town is great and the place provides really good comfort and the deck outside is fantastic living area. I hope to stay again when we are in Gatlinburg again. Jennie was a great host, responded quickly to any concern we had.

Our stay here was AMAZING! Our entire group loved the hot tub and patio, but our favorite part was spending our evenings gathered around the table, playing cards, taking in the gorgeous water views, and making memories together. We also loved how close the house was to town—it made getting around so easy. Jennie was a 10/10 host! She checked in with us throughout our stay and gave us the best recommendations for things to do and places to visit around town. There was plenty of parking for all three of our vehicles, and the wildlife sightings were an incredible bonus. We got to see bears and other wildlife from the patio every day!We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for being the hostess with the mostess, Jennie!

This is a beautiful and unique cabin. Being right by the river added so much to our stay. My kids loved seeing a few bears across the river as well.

This was such a cool cabin!! We had a ton of room. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Everything was very clean. It felt secluded but close enough to walk to downtown Gatlinburg.

The property is beautiful and the house feels lived in and appreciated. Its so close to town that we walked to the main road each night to have fun at the restaurants and bars. It was quite stormy, so not much relaxing on the deck or in the river for this trip, but if anything, everyone I brought along agrees that it is worth returning to Gatlinburg just to stay here. Big kudos to the host, great communication and a huge help overall. No notes!

The house was great. Communication was great. I would note the the house is split into 3 levels. If you have issues with stairs I would reconsider.

Home as pictured on web site -- easy to get to and walkable to town. Enjoyed the deck--watched a Blue Heron catch fish in the river. Very pet friendly--lots of level areas to walk our dog but watch for bears--we saw at least one bear every day near the cabin and on our walks. Home was well stocked. This is the sixth time we have rented a home in Gatlinburg and the first where the knives were sharp and the cooking pans/utensils were excellent--thank you. The beds were also very comfortable. We had a couple questions throughout the stay and when texted host we received a quick and helpful reply.

This cabin not only met but exceeded all of our expectations! It was clean, extremely well stocked, and the views were magnificent! We saw several bears and a majestic bald eagle. We loved spending time on the porch just watching the river roll by. Inside, fun for everyone. Adults and children alike will enjoy the games! Shuffle board was a favorite of our family. Jennie was the epitome of customer service host. We had one issue that was resolved in about 20 minutes. Hot tub was a great size. We can’t wait until we have the opportunity to return to our favorite cabin in the beautiful Smokies. Thank you, Jennie, we’ll be back.

Beautiful cabin with wonderful views. Cabin was well stocked with what you need, beds were comfortable. There is lots of steps up to cabin main floor living (23). Close to downtown Gatlinburg if you are ok with a mile there and a mile back. Our family fad a very nice time!! The host was one of the nicest hosts I've ever dealt with on all my VRBO rentals.

We loved our stay here! The cabin has so much charm and the deck space is amazing! The cabin is located right across from the river so the view and the sound was beautiful and relaxing. We spent hours enjoying the deck space. The location to town was also nice. We mostly walked to town, but there is a trolly stop that is within close walking distance that you can take to town. We also liked that there was space on this street to walk our dog. We also really appreciated the host at this property. Incredibly responsive and helpful! We would definitely return to this property!

Great location and hosts were incredibly responsive. We loved our 3-generation family getaway for a week at Cabin on the River. It’s not a new house; it’s a somewhat weathered cabin. As long as you know that, it’s fantastic! The location is spectacular! The accommodations for a family of 8 adults plus one toddler and two dogs worked flawlessly. Host was so thoughtful! Kitchen was well-equipped. Everything worked well in the kitchen and bathrooms. Only downsides (but not even enough to take away a perfect rating): HVAC controls are inconsistent from floor to floor. One basement bedroom could benefit from upgrade, but the host did send a box fan for the room, which worked well. That same room was too small for any type of storage, although there is a kitchenette. Gates that could close the deck outside for additional security from bears would have been appreciated. Windows didn’t open smoothly so we couldn’t hear the beautiful river except with an open door or being outside. A lot of beautiful bear sightings each day. We loved this place so much!

The cabin was very large. The location was amazing! Secluded but very close to the parkway. It was nice to walk down the parkway without worrying about parking. The deck on this cabin is amazing! Right next to the water. We saw a large bear twice while there. Jennie was great at communicating with us through out our stay. This cabin does have steep stairs. And steps in many areas of the cabin. I only say this so that someone else will know that might be bringing older adults or people with mobility issues. Wasn’t an issue for us though but just information for others that might be staying here. The cabin was easy to get to with no steep roads. We loved the neighborhood.

There was an infestation of bugs our whole time there though we understand we were in a nature area. They did say it was sealed but we were swamped with millipedes and mosquitoes. Other than that great time it was beautiful and we had so much fun!
