We had a short, less than 24 hour, visit while attending a family event and the Fly Creek Carriage house was perfect. We appreciated the quiet, natural surroundings and the host was very kind and responsive.
I booked this for my little family to stay at while my son played at Cooperstown Dreams park, knowing nothing about the area but wanting an easy spot to go between games to relax, and this was perfect, so there is peace and privacy, and it’s only 12 ( beautiful) mins to the fields. We love that there’s laundry and a second half bath, and catching crawfish in the creek was top notch! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our visit to this property. The house was spacious and accommodated our needs. The owner communicated well and was available if needed. The area is between Cooperstown ball fields and the main part of Cooperstown. We would stay here again if our travels took us to this part of NY. Thank you!
Great carriage house, was much nicer than I anticipated! Wonderful host and the friendliest dog! My son enjoyed fishing in the stream and catching crawfish!
The Family stayed several nights while my son and I stayed in the barracks at Cooperstown. I did stay 2 nights and my wife and family stayed the multiple nights. Place was clean and comfortable.
Very nice property - spacious living/kitchen area and nice sized bedrooms. Clean and quiet, and close to Cooperstown. Host was very gracious in answering my questions prior to our arrival.
We stayed at the carriage house over Columbus Day weekend and it was delightful. The weather could have been better, but the carriage house is just what we needed. It was a great location and felt very secluded. Despite the rain, we enjoyed the Cider Mill, twice! The property fit our family of 5 perfectly.
This was the perfect property for us as it was close enough to the Dream Park but far enough away that it was quite at night. We were a stones throw away from the Cider mill which is an absolute hidden gem and great for the whole family to visit. The house is cozy, very clean, and the property manager is an absolute doll!
Well tended carriage house in a picturesque setting near Cooperstown and Dreams Baseball Field. We really enjoyed our visits to Fly Creek Cider Mill too, both for shopping and take out meals.
The owner of the property answered my questions promptly and kindly.
Our last morning there 2 deer walked past us in the backyard; a lovely ending to a sweet visit.
We stayed here while our son played at Cooperstown Dreams Park. It was a quick 15 minute drive, which we made multiple times a days. The house was perfect for our needs. It was nice to have a quiet place to relax after a day at the baseball tournament. The kitchen was well-equipped, though some of the pans are getting a bit worn. We used the grill outside for a couple meals and enjoyed using the fire pit.
Cozy and clean- no ATT service and very limited WiFi
Fly Creek is a charming town with walkable general store and easy access (15-20 min) drive to Cooperstown ball field. Carriage house is cozy and very clean.
Bedrooms- good size, one mattress was very saggy but the other was fine and sofa sleeper was good.
Large kitchen and bathrooms with laundry were convenient.
Technology- ATT service non-existent. Weak to non-existent WiFi could only handle one device at a time and even then, would still frequently drop. We notified landlords immediately as we were planning to work remotely and they were responsive but unable to resolve it during our stay. Tv had plenty of channels and movies.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Inaccurate listing
Simply put, renter beware. The listing inaccurately stated air conditioning was available when it was not (it was not an issue of being broken, it was that AC was nonexistent). We arrived during a heat advisory to fans blowing 90+ degree heat in bedrooms and entire house.
In bringing this up with the owner who lives on site, she got very frustrated, stating that “no one else has had a problem with this” and ultimately slammed the door as she walked away. We ended up booking a hotel based on her false listing and not feeling comfortable staying on property with her. Make sure any communication with this owner is in writing and listing is accurate.

hidden gem
We stayed at this lovely apartment while our son played in Cooperstown. Megan and Jeremy were so nice to open up their home to us. It is very well kept. Megan had provided many extras for us. Upon arrival, there was a basket full of fresh apples on the table along with homemade fudge from Fly Creek Cider Mill (just up the road) which was AMAZING! The apartment included a fully stocked kitchen with all the pots and pans needed to cook meals, a coffee pot, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, toilet paper, and plenty of towels for a group of 6. Having a washer and dryer on hand was also very helpful which we used daily. We also took advantage of both the gas grill and the fire pit.
There were also chairs available on the property to look at the beautiful scenery as well as the creek on site which is absolutely beautiful!
The only negative I have to share would be that more seating is needed in the living area. There is only 1 couch, and with a family of 6, we needed more seating to watch TV and play games (which they also had available as well as movies). However, we made adjustment and cleaned up some patio chairs and brought them inside for extra seating.
If you're looking for a great comfortable place to stay, then I have to say this is it! Plus, it is only 7-10 minutes from Cooperstown Dreams Park.
Great for an escape for two. Great for Dreams Park families
Great house with lots of charm. I spent the first couple nights by myself while my one son was staying at Dreams Park which is less than 15 minutes away. The rest of the family joined a couple days later. We were 5 in total during our stay and it worked out well.
The house has everything you need if you want to cook. Grand Union is on the way from Dreams Park if you are there for a tournament. There is a great coffee shop in the same shopping mall. There is also the General Store close to the house but their offerings are more limited. The Fly Creek Cider Mill is walking distance from the house and serves a good lunch.
The house is comfortable. Air conditioning on the first floor. Fans only on the 2nd in the two bedrooms. It was warm, but bearable especially the last few nights when the temp dropped to the low 50's at night. There was plenty of towels in the bathroom, and paper products as well which were left over from other guests. The shower had low water pressure but it works well enough. The water was hot.
My only negative comment is the house needed a good sweeping. I tracked in grass clippings my 2nd day and swept them up, but then got carried away and swept the whole place once I realized the amount of dust and dirt on the floor that was there before I arrived. Also, this is nit picking and particular to my taste, but the chairs in the living room are a little worn with stains. They could use a refreshing.
All in all I was very happy with the accommodations, location and interaction with the owner. The owner's dog is an added benefit if you are a dog person. Super friendly and ready for some attention. I recommend the house and would not hesitate to book it again.
The place is just as it shows. Very cozy, with everything we needed. Close to Cooperstown downtown and the Dream park. Megan is very nice and her dog greeting us every time we left and arrived was the best! We had a wonderful time there! Recommend 100%.
The property was great. It was perfect for our family in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament.

Great location and host
We had such a great time at the Carriage House. It had a lovely view of the woods, is the perfect distance from Cooperstown, and was a restful and lovely place to spend a weekend. We hope to get to stay here again.

Charming!!
The carriage house was very charming. Clean and plenty of space. The reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was because the WiFi was not great and no service to make calls. Besides that the accommodations were great and would stay there again!
