About this property
Dog-Friendly · Gulf Views · Steps to White Sand Beach
Cape San Blas is one of Florida's most treasured sea turtle nesting beaches, and Turtle Tracks was named in their honor. This dog-friendly end-unit townhome in the gated Barrier Dunes community earns its name with three separate Gulf-view decks — one on the main level, one off the king master suite, and one off the queen bedroom — so every guest in the house has their own front-row seat to the Cape San Blas sunset. Ninety steps from your back deck to the beach. Cute artistic touches and dog leash hooks in the foyer because details and dogs both matter here. And a king master suite that does everything right: garden tub, separate shower, walk-in closet, dedicated desk, and the kind of Gulf view that makes you want to stay one more day.
🌊 90 steps from the back deck to the beach walkover 🐾 Dog friendly — designed for it, down to the dog leash hooks in the foyer 🌅 Three Gulf-view decks — main level, king suite & queen bedroom, so everyone watches the sunset 🛁 King master suite with garden tub, separate shower, double-sink vanity & walk-in closet 💻 Dedicated desk area in the king suite — remote work with a Gulf view 🐢 Named for Cape San Blas's famous sea turtle nesting beaches — keep an eye out at dawn 🏊 Access to gulf-front and interior community pools in Barrier Dunes 🎾 Tennis and pickleball courts nearby 🚗 2-car covered carport + stocked beach gear cabinet 🏄 Beach cart, beach chairs, cooler, buckets & shovels included 💳 $35/day credit toward beach gear rentals (stays of 3–21 nights) 🌐 High-speed WiFi + Smart TV in every bedroom 🍳 Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig, drip coffee maker, spice rack & extra grocery storage 👶 Pack 'n Play and high chair available 🔒 Gated Barrier Dunes community — quiet, private & beautifully maintained
Cape San Blas is one of those rare places where the pace of vacation genuinely slows you down — and Turtle Tracks makes it easy to let it. The day might start early, if you're lucky, with fresh sea turtle tracks crossing the sand to the Gulf. More likely it starts with coffee on the main deck, the Gulf catching the morning light, the dog already at the back door ready to go. Ninety steps and you're there. Days at Turtle Tracks drift between the beach, the community pools, and the satisfying routine of a place that simply works: the kitchen is well-stocked and organized, the laundry room has a folding counter and stool so you're not crouching on the floor, the foyer has artistic hooks for bags and leashes right where you need them. By evening, both the king suite deck and the queen bedroom deck are competing for the best sunset view — the answer is that they're both spectacular, and different guests will stake their claim on their favorite. Turtle Tracks. Follow them to the water.
The main level is bright and open — fully stocked kitchen with extra grocery storage, breakfast bar with two barstools, bay window seat, dining area, and a generous living room with queen sleeper sofa flowing onto the large Gulf-view deck with gas grill and outdoor dining. The queen guest bedroom with its own Gulf-view sunset balcony and full bath is conveniently on this level.
Bedrooms
King Master Suite (second floor) — private Gulf-view deck, garden tub, separate shower, double-sink vanity, walk-in closet, dedicated desk area for remote work, ample storage, Smart TV — full-size washer and dryer with folding counter and stool in the dedicated laundry room
Queen Guest Bedroom (main floor) — private Gulf-view sunset balcony, full bath with tub/shower combo, Smart TV — both decks face the Gulf, both catch the sunset
Living Room — queen sleeper sofa for additional guests
Kitchen & Living Fully stocked kitchen with extra grocery storage, Keurig, drip coffee maker, spice rack, and all the cookware for the week. Family games, books, ceiling fans, and central A/C throughout. Cute artistic touches throughout — this home has genuine personality, right down to the dog leash hooks at the foyer entrance.
Outdoor & Ground Level Large Gulf-view main deck with gas grill and outdoor dining seating, Gulf-view sunset deck off the king master suite, Gulf-view sunset balcony off the queen bedroom, hot and cold outdoor shower, water hose, 2-car covered carport, and a stocked beach gear cabinet with cart, chairs, cooler, and beach toys ready to go.
Guest Access Full private use of both floors. Barrier Dunes community amenities — gulf-front pool, interior pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and private beach boardwalk access — all included for guests.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Diane! It was a pleasure to have you as a guest, and we look forward to your return!
This was our second time staying here. All went very smoothly. The home was very comfortable, clean, well stocked and had all we needed including supplies for our 2 dogs.
This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and we loved it! The property is great and everything we needed was available. The owners have thought of eveything you might need or want to make your vacation as worryfree as possible. We'll be back!
Our first time in the area and we will definitely be back. Location is great, literally a 60 second walk to the beautiful beach. Townhome is well equipped with everything for a beach day. We took our groceries with us and didn’t have to leave the property for anything!
Great for small family, excellent location and proximity to the beach with ease of access to local markets and places to eat. The place is fully equipped to accommodate a home away from home at the beach experience. Highly recommend!

Thank you for your kind words. We love the Cape and are happy to share our accommodations with such great guests as you. We look forward to your return!
Overall the property was as described. Literally 2 min walk to the beach and one of the best spots in the cove. This was like a home away from home with all the amenities needed to enjoy our time. I really appreciated having the beach chairs, cart, umbrella, etc available. Would stay again!
Property was clean upon check in. Great views from the balconies/decks. Property was well supplied. Quick walk to beach. Probably closer than staying in a high rise beachfront and walking to beach. Would definitely stay again.
It was comfortable and worked well for our needs. I

Excellent vacation!!
My family and I had the most wonderful time at Cape San Blas. The unit we stayed in was immaculate. The unit was fully stocked with everything we needed, from cooking utensils, linens, to beach gear. What a pleasure it was to arrive and have everything we needed for this trip including beds made, fresh towels and a guest information book that told us everything we needed to know during our stay! Excellent service!! Will definitely return for our next vacation.

So glad you had a great first trip to Cape San Blas & found the home comfortable, clean and well-provisioned! We will look forward to having you back again and you and your family are ready for another Cape Escape!
p.s. Our guest information book contains area information, things to do, places to go, articles about the area, helpful phone number and everything we can think of to make your vacation relaxing! Of course you are always welcome to call with any questions!
We enjoyed the townhome. It was comfortable and spacious. I appreciate the communication with the owner and the welcoming of our dog. There were things in the cupboard like spices and non stick spray and detergent left for us. That was nice. The downfall of the unit is the two sets of 14 steps. It didn’t occur to me how many times I’d be using those daily. Great stay!

Thank you for your kind words, Michelle. We are glad you enjoyed the stay, as well as your trip. We love great guests like you and look forward to your return.
My wife and I (and our fur child) thoroughly enjoyed our week at Turtle Tracks at Barrier Dunes in Cape San Blas. The unit was well-equipped with everything we needed, from good WiFi to kitchen utensils to beach chairs, etc. We really like the Barrier Dunes community. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean on arrival. We had a couple of minor quick maintenance issues, and Devi and her people were prompt in helping us. We grilled out on our deck a couple times, and, conveniently, there was an extra propane tank at the unit, when we needed it. Overall, great experience.
Comfortable townhome a few minutes walk from the beach. The community is cute and has two pools and a nice playground. Very kid and dog friendly. The kitchen has what we needed for a 5 day stay. We loved being able to walk to the beach. The house had all the beach items we needed - chairs, cart. We brought our own umbrella and toys.
The place was big enough for a group and more than we needed for a family of 3. Large master bedroom with king bed and smaller bedroom with a queen on a separate floor.
My only complaint is that the place could have been cleaner. The pots, pans, and silverware were dirty. This may have been because previous guests didn’t clean them thoroughly. We ran everything through the dishwasher and it was fine. Hopefully this was a one time issue, because we have no other complaints and would stay here again!

Cecelia,
Thank you for being such a great guest. I am disappointed that the cleaners did not have everything up to par with you, and we will be sure to share your honest feedback with them. We can only do better if we know where we can do better. We do look forward to your next visit!
It takes two minutes from the unit to put your feet in the white sand. The water was that amazing crystal clear emerald green. The unit itself had everything we needed and Wendy was fantastic in communicating and answering questions.
We really enjoyed our stay! The unit was clean, well stocked and close to the beach. The manager was very helpful and gave very detailed instructions. We loved that fur babies were welcomed and enjoyed watching them. We will come back again and bring our fur baby!
We have stayed at Turtle Tracks twice now. Both times have been wonderful. The manager, Wendy, is very nice and easy to work with. We will definitely be staying at Barrier Dunes again. Thanks Wendy!

I love this place and come back year after year. There's nothing like a Cape San Blas vacation to re-charge. My pup loves it too. Wendy is a great manager and every single detail is covered. No worries. Pleasant stay. Highly recommend!

I just loved this property! We had a fabulous time! I especially liked being so close to the beach.
I just loved this property! There was plenty of room for my husband and I, + 3 kids. We had a fabulous time! I especially liked being so close to the beach. I loved the decor, very beachy and comfortable, and the condo was immaculate! We had some great meals, and did not need for anything in the kitchen. There was everything for cooking you could possibly think of, even spices! It was really nice not having to pack all the essentials. The beds and living room furniture was very comfortable. I have a bad back, so the bed is very important! We had some great times out on the beach, uncrowded and quiet, and the bonfires at night while watching the sunset were fantastic! My husband and kids also loved surf fishing every day! One day we rented a boat and went exploring on the end of the cape in St Joe State Park. The kids were finding all kinds of creatures! They had a blast! Once again we made some awesome family memories that will last for a lifetime! Thank you so much Wendy, we can't wait to go back!

Amazing Trip!
I couldn't have asked for a better experience at the Cape Escape. When we arrived everything was clean and every detail was thought of- paper towels, a full spice rack, sandwich bags, saran wrap, even "pet towels" for wet sandy dogs! I was so impressed by the amenities, there was even a closet full of beach toys, umbrella, beach chairs, etc., saving you lots of $$$ on things you wouldn't use after your trip.
Wendy, the manager, was incredible. She is professional and friendly, always picked up the phone and promptly responded to texts and emails. The neighborhood is gated and felt very safe, with kids riding around on bikes and people walking their dogs, everyone I encountered was very friendly. The condo was just a short walk to the beach, maybe 30 seconds which is SO nice when you're carrying beach chairs etc.. You can see the ocean from the master bedroom deck.
The beach is BEAUTIFUL. White sand, clear water, no crowds, not overdeveloped. We saw dolphins while sitting on the beach! You don't get that in Destin or Panama City or any of the other nearby popular beaches. Dogs are welcome on the beach and most places. This is really a special place, will definitely be returning!
