About this property
Cozy Bedroom/Den Walk to Wynwood, Midtown
A den with a private entrance in a renovated SHARED home ready for your stay in MIAMI!
The house has modern finishes and everything you need for your stay. *No window in Den - great for those who may benefit from a darker room for sleeping in, etc.*
We are pet lovers and welcome well-behaved pets! 🐾 A $100 pet fee applies, and we kindly ask that pets be disclosed prior to booking.
FREE WiFi and FREE PARKING on street.
Walking distance to the heart of Wynwood and Midtown. By car, 10 minutes from Downtown Miami, 15 minutes to the MIA airport and 15-20 minutes to the BEACH!!
PLEASE read everything for your own expectations 🙏
The property is a multi-unit building. You can enter through the front door or if you prefer a private entrance, the bedroom is on the right back side of the right unit when facing the front of the building.
On the property, there are four other long term tenants: 2 in an RV in the backyard that's fenced off and 2 in the left unit of the building. You shouldn't see or hear any of them.
All tenants are super kind and friendly. We'll doubt you'll hear them but if they're being a little too loud, please let us know and we'll kindly remind them to keep it down. They're very cooperative.
One of my favorite things about this property is its location–I would walk to Midtown and Wynwood all the time, roughly taking 15 minutes. You might like that too.
You can access all shared spaces (kitchen, living room, bathroom) other than the other bedroom.
Note, you will be sharing the kitchen, living room and bathroom with other guests!
Communicate, communicate, communicate. If there's any discomfort during your stay or you have any questions, please don't keep it to yourself. Reach out and we'll try our best to resolve any issue that comes up asap. While we're not on the property myself and travel a lot, I have a property manager and handyman ready to help out at a moment's notice.
Additionally, you may encounter one of our neighbors–a retired man next door who helps us take out the trash bins for city pickup while we're away.
This is a transitioning neighborhood. During the day, I walk on the busier streets, not the alleys or I use Lyft/Uber and at night, I always take Lyft/Uber. I avoid public transportation and walking at night.
That being said, neighbors are friendly! You can always say hi to them.
If you're looking for top tier hotel service like many Airbnbs nowadays, this place might not be for you. We simply have a space in a home to spare.
While we do our best to provide a comfortable stay and tend to our guests and their requests, disruptions happen–a baby next door may cry, a lizard may enter the home, a street cat may enter the premises expecting to be fed, an amenity might break down and its repair service may take longer than desired. This comes with booking a space in a home and residential neighborhood and hope guests can stay with an understanding of this while we take care of whatever circumstance presents itself.
*This particular room has an AC that makes a bit of noise even when turned off. This is related to the way it was installed during the reconstruction and we don't unfortunately have control over it. It hasn't predominately been an issue with guests but we would recommend bringing ear plugs in case you're a light sleeper
Note, maintenance and housekeeper has the right to enter the unit with a 24 hour notice for repairs and maintenance.
We know life gets hectic and it’s possible to miss a rule here or there.
We also want to share these rules to provide a more comfortable shared living space, prevent any confusion or frustration between guests and to protect the condition of the house. 🙂
- Communicate, communicate, communicate – make sure to communicate any problems to prevent them from growing into significant problems. We’ll try our best to get to any issues asap.
- Quiet hours are between 10pm to 8am
- No outside or overnight guests! We will report anyone that's not a listed traveler. A $300 party file will be charged if there are more guests than listed on the reservation.
- Make sure the doors are completely shut and the fences are locked where available even when you’re at home especially at night. It’s a transitioning neighborhood. We haven’t experienced anything negative, but we still want to be cautious.
- Smoking/vaping is not allowed in-doors or on the premises. Please smoke off the premises.
- Please turn the lights off if you aren't in the space and no other guest else is either.
- Please keep track of the food you purchase and throw it away prior to leaving. Our cleaners can't do it themselves since they risk throwing away someone else's good.
To prevent pests from invading and infesting the space and to be considerate of other guests staying in the home, please…
- Do not leave any food or food crumbs behind whether on the table, in the sink, etc
- Wipe down dishes, pans, table, counter etc promptly after preparing food
- Clean the microwave if it gets dirty
- Take out the trash if/when full. The longer the trash sits out, the more it attracts pests.
- For longer term stays, the city picks up garbage on Monday & Thursday. Recycle pickup is Thursday, the 1st & 3rd of the month. If you do not see the full trash container out near the curb, please take the container out.
For organizational purposes…
- Please use the spaces in the fridge that have your bedroom number.
- If there’s an empty space and you need it temporarily, please ask.
- All the items on the property are for the common use. Please keep all of them in good condition and available for other guests.
- Please keep the shared living space as it was at the start of your stay. No adding onto it with longer term personal items or usage. Preferred usage examples–watching tv, reading a book, playing a game for a couple of hours.
- Be mindful of the time used in the kitchen, bathroom, and with the washer/dryer. Communicate ahead of time if you’ll be needing a space for longer than expected (i.e. bathroom for over 30 minutes) or if you need a space at a specific time.
We hope these rules will make living with others smoother. Let’s see how they work and of course, let us know if they can be improved. 🙏
Thank you!
