House was very clean. We really enjoyed the quiet countryside, and looking at plants including bananas and coffee cherries.The house is quite spacious and our two adult sons enjoyed having their own bedrooms. Mattresses very really comfortable!Loved the daughter's comments in the guide book!

I believe this is a brand new listing, but could be wrong. There was no real place to put garbage and I had to contact the host to get it collected. Had to purchase a remote control for the TV in the master bed, and a can opener. Those should be standard items.

Aloha, Our apologies for any inconveniences you had during your stay. A brand new Tv and remote control have been replaced in the master bedroom, new garbage bins have been added to the back house, as well 3 new can openers have been added to the kitchen utensils drawer. Thank you for your feedback so we can make necessary changes needed to make our guests stay more comfortable. Hina’s Fale opened 7 months ago, so we apologize for any inconveniences that may have been overlooked. Thank you for staying with us. Mahalo nui loa.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the host was responsive and easy to work with. The home was well-stocked with quality linens, towels, and nice interior furnishings, and the location worked well for our rodeo weekend in Waimea. That said, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. Considering the $400 cleaning fee, we were surprised to find the stove dirty upon arrival, and many of the kitchen pans and cooking utensils were heavily worn and not very clean. We eventually found a newer set stored in a cabinet, which helped. The biggest concern for our group was the condition of the beds and pillows. After long days at the rodeo in cold, rainy weather, a comfortable place to rest is important. Unfortunately, the mattresses were extremely firm and the pillows offered very little support. Everyone in our group woke up sore, and we feel the bedrooms would greatly benefit from updated mattresses and bedding. We also experienced a significant roach issue during our stay. We encountered both large and small cockroaches throughout the home, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms. We even found them crawling on bathroom counters and around personal items and toiletry bags left out overnight. With some attention to pest control, kitchen upkeep, and replacing the mattresses and pillows, this property could provide a much more comfortable experience for future guests.

The house was very convenient to town and was easy to access. The bedrooms had nice separation for privacy. The host was extremely fast to respond when we asked a question. Overall a great stay.
