Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway!

Stay comfortably in Carriere at this 2-bedroom cabin. Nestled in a serene setting on the edge of the Old River WMA, this adorable retreat features 2 queen beds, heating, and AC. With a cozy atmosphere and all the essentials for a relaxing stay, guests can unwind and recharge in this gorgeous hideaway. The cabin is within walking distance of the river and a public boat launch is a few minutes drive away. Because you will be on a WMA, for your safety, please be mindful of the various hunting seasons if you plan on hiking, fishing, etc.; if you’re unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask and we’ll be happy to answer any questions. Fishing is best by boat (we do not provide), however there are areas that you can access the river by bank or ATV trail. Be aware, the woods surrounding the cabin is full of wildlife, including wild hogs, gators, snakes; be very careful if exploring. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our cabin.

Shayla was a wonderful host, she helped me move the dates of my stay when I couldn't do it myself. And the property was lovely for our spring time visit. We weren't sure from the pictures but there was one couch available for sleeping, the other one was broken up by a console. All the living room seats reclined. Very comfy!

It was great. Extremely easy process. No unreasonable instructions. If I had to have a complaint, it'd be that we booked at a time when there were no fruit on the misbelief/loquat trees. But that's something we can remedy by booking again later this year.

I got great feedback about the house before we arrived, easy to get in touch with the host. The house was just what we wanted. Only thing that wasn't mentioned in the description was the house is on a dirt/gravel road. We didnt have a problem, but smaller lower to the ground cars might. It is also deer hunting season and we were unaware there's a WM area at the end of the road. I would have preferred to know if we should have brought hunters orange or to not let my son walk down the dirt road.

I was elated to find out if this cabin in the words was everything as promised. The place was neat and tidy, and very close to all sorts of outdoor sporting event events. Five stars I would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is located on the Old River Wildlife Management Area. The area is very peaceful and you’ll be surrounded by nature!

What makes this property unique

Located just yards away from the Old River and a few minutes from the public boat launch, this is the perfect place to hunt or fish. It is on a wildlife management area, so you will need to have the appropriate licenses and you must log any activity that you participate in, either on the app or at the log in station. Ask me for more details if interested!
