The porch was terrific, location is perfect, the fall foliage was at its most beautiful peak. The hall and the rest of the cabin, with its giant hand hewn logs was fantastic. Loved the location for seeing waterfalls / hiking nearby.

Property left us in awe with the views from the bedroom and the living room, it was extremely relaxing, and it was the perfect place we have been searching for! Our family had a great time, enjoyed the peace and quiet and sitting by the fireplace each day. We will definitely return to this place.
Beautiful rustic cabin in one of my favorite places on the planet. Loved the views, the privacy, smell of the log cabin, etc. Was the perfect birthday getaway with my family. Reminded me of my mother's house with all the lady bugs, but overall great
place and would definitely stay here again. and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect weekend retreat!
We (6 of us) stayed here over the weekend while in town for a concert at the caverns. The view/location is STUNNING. You can watch the sunset over the mountains from the porch. A short drive to stone door and other trails. We would stay again for sure.
This is a wonderful place to disconnect and enjoy the people you are with. Super close to hikes, water falls and small towns. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked. There is plenty of outside seating although they are not super comfortable.NEED TO KNOW: The twin beds down stairs are very high so if you have mobility issues you will have a hard time climbing onto them. The stairs to the loft are steep and the light switch for the hall light is at the bottom of the stairs only.
If you're looking for a wonderful cabin that exceeds your expectations, this is the one! It's secluded, peaceful setting is near lots of hiking areas, swimming holes, and bluffs. We loved the privacy this cabin offered. Everyone got their own bathroom! It's 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms on the lower floor plus a loft above. My only suggestion is to add some kind of outlet in the stairway to help with providing light at night. A night light for the stairs would have been awesome. The kids fought over who could sleep up there! My kids were ages 7-11 and that is a great age for this home. We found everything to be comfy and cozy! Thanks for sharing your home with us! Will definitely be back!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Meeting several friends for 20 year reunion hikes, we were (as math dictates) all 20 years older and hoping for a little more comfort at night than the ground provide a couple of decades earlier. Booking lodging on the internet can be a bit risky; however, this cabin was far more than anticipated. The view from the porch, alone, was enough to make this a worthwhile pick. Beyond the views and unique setting, the beds were comfortable, bathrooms convenient and clean, sufficient kitchen space and accessories, and comfortable living room area for conversation. Communication was prompt and clear with the host. This is one of the few rentals I've found (site unseen) that has far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.
This mountain cabin was perfect for what we needed. My wife and I, my two sisters and their husbands all enjoyed a 4 day weekend in Beersheba Springs. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms downstairs with another bedroom in the loft. The back porch is huge with amazing views of mountains and valleys. We spent most of our time on the porch, or in the living area utilizing a huge fireplace with plenty of wood to burn. The kitchen and dining area were more than adequate. Easy check in and all contacts with owner were answered quickly and efficiently. We also thought the rental price for this cabin was great compared to other cabins in the area. Seriously, you cannot beat the views from the porch or the windows standing in the master bedroom. One day took a day trip to Lynchburg for the Jack Daniels Distillery. We had a great time and if our schedules can work out, will do this again.

This cabin is definitely a rustic, private experience with an amazing view! For the most part, the cabin is as pictured. Our family likes to get away each October and enjoy hikes, outdoor fires & all the s’mores one can desire. Although the pictures for this listing clearly show an outdoor fireplace setup, this is not the case. Upon arrival, we messaged the owner and he quickly responded that fires outside were not allowed for safety reasons. We were very disappointed because we chose this cabin based on the assumption that outdoor fires were allowed. We asked if we could get a refund but were told that was out of his control, which we feel is not the entire truth.
We did find ways to enjoy our weekend as we did not want to waste the money we had already paid. As mentioned above, the rest of the cabin is pretty much as pictured! Very rustic, very private, amazing view!

Hi Laura, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: - We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience, so we were disappointed to hear your stay didn't fully meet your expectations and want to take a moment to address your concerns. - We apologize for any confusion regarding the outdoor fire policy. We had previously requested the removal of the fire pit due to safety concerns related to guests' unfamiliarity with managing outdoor fires responsibly. This request was made to ensure the safety of all our guests and the surrounding environment. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. We understand your disappointment and want to assure you that we continuously strive to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for all our guests. Please be aware that the policy regarding the outdoor fires remains in place for the safety of our guests and property and, since had the photo removed from our listing to avoid any future confusion. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
It wasn’t what I thought it to be, a modern log cabin. It is much better!!!! A true cabin in the woods. It has all the modern amenities. Yet, much not needed. With the view, porch, trails, and fire pit. Who could want anymore. It was so great even our techie teens and preteen we couldn’t keep them inside. The flowers, birds and fresh air makes us long to stay forever. So sorry we have to leave. God has truly blessed you with a little bit of heaven
This home has so much character! It's story is interesting and full of history of early east TN. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. We hope to come back in the spring when redbud and dogwood are in bloom! The view from the porch is beautiful and the grounds are so pretty.
Beautiful location out in the middle of nowhere. Stunning mountain vista from the big front porch with rockers. The home is large enough for 8 but really only living room seating for 4, most of which needs updated as the furniture is worn and dated. The kitchen is usable but also you cannot read the temp on the oven, the fridge rattles and there is zero lighting over the dining area so you’re eating in the dark.
The bedrooms were comfy with nice beds. Bathrooms were very clean but also dated.
We had a very nice trip however, and enjoyed the good weather of Tennessee and the mountain smells and views.

Hi, thanks for letting us know about your stay. After going over your feedback, the homeowner wanted to address the items that you mentioned:
-With your group size, there is enough seating. The living room comfortably sits three people on the couch, plus a rocking chair and an easy chair. Guests can move other chairs to add more seating.
-We're working on lighting options for the kitchen, but there are four other lamps nearby.
-We haven't found a replacement part for the stove. We keep a small kitchen timer on the stovetop for when guests need to time anything.
-We plan on replacing the fridge. We have heard it rattle, but it's still functional.
-We accurately advertise our property as a secluded cabin, and it doesn't have modern decor or appliances. In time we will make updates as needed.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this historic log cabin! The large porch is great for hanging out and we loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs drinking our morning coffee and enjoying the view. This is a wonderful property and was perfect for our stay!
We truly loved our stay at this wonderful cabin in Beersheba Springs. The pictures don't do justice to how magical the back porch area feels and looks. The cabin itself is charming and rustic, while providing all of the necessities and creature comforts of modern life. The location is private and quiet, yet easy to get to, and very close to hikes to great views, swimming holes, etc. The hosts were quick to respond, communicative, and also just very nice and kind. Highly recommend this place for a restorative experience.
