Christmas getaway!

We traveled with family to Edisto for a Christmas getaway. The property is beautiful and just as described. It suited our group perfectly..an elevator for those that need it, pet friendly, and right on the beach! We hunted for shells each morning, watched dolphins from the house, and explored the area. Our trip was great and we would definitely stay here again! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great family beach trip

Our family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) spent a wonderful few days here. The beachfront location and the elevator were perfect for a family member with mobility issues. The amenities were great and the property manager quickly resolved the 2 small problems we experienced.

Great family vacation

We had a wonderful 2 week vacation with family members from 3 to 91! Wonderful porch and deck to enjoy the views. Great kitchen, Great bedroom suites and bathrooms throughout to accommodate privacy. Kids bunk rooms are great! It was wonderful to be surrounded by the views and the sounds of the sea throughout the house. The elevator became a little difficult to operate, but was manageable. Manager was notified and planned for service. Great property!

Spacious with a great porch

We had a group of eleven women in the house… lots of places to sleep, shower, visit. Kitchen and living are spacious… it rained Saturday but we didn’t feel cramped. Porch is amazing!

Great Location

Good space for seperate families! Plenty of bathrooms. Loved the deck spaces. Kitchen area was awesome! Only thing i would change is to have 2 big refrigerators because of so many people!

We had previously stayed on the other end of the island and wondered if this location would be crowded or noisy but it was pleasantly quiet. Recommended property!

Exceeded Expectations

The location was incredibly convenient with a grocery store and restaurants across the street. The home was in extremely clean despite being oceanfront - the views were killer from every room. But best of all were the super thoughtful owners who left treats for young (cookies and cereal) and old (coffee and all the spices needed to cook an amazing family meal). We hope to come back again soon.

Perfect beach house

The house is the first one in Edisto on the beach. Check in process was simple. House has ample room to spread out and views of the beach from most rooms. It is loaded with towels, spices in the kitchen , and even cookies. It was convenient being able to walk to the grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommend

Perfect Location, clean, and everything we needed.

Everything was perfect about our stay. House is perfectly suited for large familes. Location is great, just walk out the back door and you are on the beach. Walking distance to the grocery store. Little extras given to us by the owners means so much, cookies, water, drinks, and lots of other items. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us.

Best Place Ever

Moontide was amazing! The house is fully stocked. We have never had that any place we have gone. We even got a nice welcome basket full of goodies! Views are amazing.. Location is right near everything. Most within walking distance. Even though is rained the fist couple of days Moontide and Edisto did not disappoint. Best place ever!!

Great vacation house in a perfect location.

The only concern was the queen bedroom bath. It had no bathmat or handhold. Slippery bathtub was worrisome with nothing to hold onto. Some dishes were apparently put away dirty. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

Fabulous Getaway!

We were looking for a bigger home on the water for our visit this year and Moon Tide met and exceeded our wishes!! The home comes with all linens and bath towels but an added bonus was beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys! The baby pool was a hit with our baby and his mom! We had 2 small issues and contacted the owners, they responded immediately and the issues were resolved within an hour! Without question, we would recommend this home for a perfect getaway! Clean, roomie and perfect views plus bonus items in the kitchen and pantry. 10/10

This House Has EVERYTHING!

The house was huge with plenty of living spaces and bathrooms. The house was clean. The house also has absolutely everything including bottled water, beer, snacks, cereal, coffee, and delicious cookies left for us for our stay along with a personalized note. The location could not be better -- near Coots, Food Lion, the gas station, state park and more. Communication with the host was on point every time. One suggestion -- you need a new can opener -- and if that's the biggest problem we had then it was an exceptional stay. Thank you! We will be back.

Great beach house

We had a great time at the Moon Tide. This place could easily house 3 families. We only had our family but had plenty of room. The elevator was convenient. I had a little trouble trying to get in because it was dark when we arrived but I figured it out. Being on the beach was awesome! I guess the only downside was the public parking is next door but not that big of a deal as we were off season and not as many people on the beach. I would stay again and bring 2 more families. Coffee shop in walking distance and enough good restaurants on the beach. The restaurant at the marina was fantastic. Thanks!

Moon Tide is the perfect house!

My family and I just spent a wonderful 4 days at Moon Tide. Everything about the house was perfect. The elevator worked great and the older folks were able to get from floor to floor very easily. The house is situated right on the ocean and the sunrises are extraordinary. Our stay happened to coincide with the 2021 Edisto Triathlon, so one morning we had a front row seat to hundreds of swimmers. Moon Tide, which is the northernmost house on the island, is a very welcoming and well thought out home. It’s stocked with care, the beds are very comfortable, the coffee makers are nice, the views were unbelievable and the porches are perfect. Communication from the owner was great too! It was such a special time for my family and we’ll definitely be coming back to Moon Tide in the future!!

Family reunion

We decided to come to Edisto instead of Hilton Head this year for a change of pace. What a difference! Edisto Island is so relaxed in comparison. Low traffic, plenty of stores and restaurants, and lots of activity options. We reserved Moontide to accommodate our large family. It was nice to have so many room options. Our 99 year old grandmother was comfortable on the second floor and really enjoyed watching everyone on the beach from the spacious balcony. The elevator was super helpful for loading in and out. I would 100% recommend this house for your next vacation. The house is next to Coot's Bar and Grille and beach access #1, but this did not detract from our stay at all. I would recommend sending someone down in the morning to set up some chairs and claim the space in front of the house and follow up later with the canopy or umbrellas.

Perfect

Our extended family has been taking a yearly beach vacation for over 10 years. This year we decided to come to Edisto and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The house was perfect with lots of room for everyone. The downstairs living area was great for the kids while the adults congregated upstairs. The rooftop deck at night gave us stunning viewing of the stars. The property managers are wonderful. There were drinks and snacks, laundry and kitchen supplies, beach towels and an assortment of beach necessities provided. It was such a nice and welcoming place. It was clean and well-maintained. The location was marvelous and the island itself is quaint and quiet. In all of our years we’ve never stayed at the same place twice but we have already decided to return here next year. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short because of Hurricane Ian but we simply cannot wait to return.

Amazing Ocean Front Beach House!

We had 3 families together including 8 kids, 4 adults and 3 dogs. The house was amazing. Location being ocean front was a must for us and it not disappoint. We were worried about being next to the public beach entrance but it was no issue at all. The beaches even on the weekends were not crowded even in mid August and we had a blast. It was actually really nice being so close to a bar and restaurant, gas station, and a grocery store, all within 2-300 yards. The house has all the amenities and more from board games to movies for the kids, plenty of dishes, cups and all the little extras that you normally have to bring with you to a beach house. The 2 porches/decks with seating areas were awesome and provided a great area to congregate and enjoy family time, views and drinks. We were throughly impressed with Andrea and the property team that did everything to make out stay amazing. We cannot wait to go back next summer and we will definitely be renting the same house. I couldn't recommend this house more. Gorgeous house inside and out!

Perfect Location, clean, and everything we needed.

Moon Tide was the perfect home for our large family (15) vacation. The different levels provided space for everyone's needs, from playing board games to just relaxing and whale & dolphin watching (which we were lucky enough to see several each day). Just steps away from the beach, so each morning we could take out our chairs, towels, beach toys and then you could just go back and forth to the house. The large outdoor shower with hot and cold water was so convenient for washing off the beach sand . We enjoyed several nights of cooking outside, the large picnic table is perfect for large groups. Short walking distance to grocery store and right next door to Coot's Bar & Grill which we visited several times for mid afternoon & late night snacks. But I must say the little extras the owners provided were winners. We immediately tasted the cookies and popcorn. Owners responded immediately to any questions. We are already talking about going back next year. Thanks for sharing your beautiful beachfront vacation home with us.

Really nice house. Well stocked kitchen. Decent small grocery store 1 block away. Decent restaurants close at hand. The surf got into the road in front of the house and there was often 4" of standing ocean water getting out of the driveway. Tip: get your groceries before getting on the island. Civilization is 30 minutes away. The property manager, Andrea, is golden -- very responsive. Had a problem with a vehicle. She helped me find a terrific mechanic in minutes.
