Had a wonderful time being hosted here for Thanksgiving. Great accommodations for a large family and beautiful place for kids to be outside. Truly enjoyed our stay!
We enjoyed our stay at this home! It was in a great neighborhood with a lot of space and privacy. It is nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. We would stay here again!
This house was perfect for what we needed. Good space for everyone and close to wimberly. Pros: Games were a nice touch. The outdoor space was wondeful for a fire and playing. Cons: Back doors were not locked when we got there which was concerning. The bunk beds were very squeaky which was a problem with kids trying to sleep. The bunk bed room had no curtains also so hard to get kids to bed. Overall great stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The property and house were spacious and comfortable. We did have a problem with the shortage of paper products in the house. We had to purchase more. We were told to put our trash in a bin by the carport. We didn't find one. Even though the homeaway site listed some kcups for the Keurig, we found none. The owner was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly when I contacted him. It seemed like whoever was responsible for stocking the house was not doing their job.

Thank you for the feedback on the supplies at the house. We had prior guests during the holidays use more than expected and ended up short on supplies. We will make sure this is addressed for future stays!

Poorly cleaned house in Driftwood
The house was not thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. There were dirty towels hanging in the bathrooms, previously used wash cloths hanging on the shower, and the bathroom rugs were dirty(dripped toothpaste on one). We had to wash a load of towels for our use. The cook top in the kitchen had burnt food on it. The dishwasher was full of dishes, clean but it should have been emptied and dishes put away. The kitchen sink was dirty. There are no window coverings in the bathrooms or the 2 secondary bedrooms. Also, we were given a code for a lockbox to retrieve the door key. There was no lockbox and after the initial panic and some searching, we found the key under the door mat.

I am so sorry about this. I can assure anyone who reads this review that this was a one-off situation. For some reason, this stay was removed from my VRBO host calendar, and I didn't know that Paula and her group were coming. Therefore, the house had not been cleaned from the prior stay yet. I refunded Paula for her stay, and I will make sure this never happens again.
Everything was nice. Had a water glitch - pump broken during a rain storm. That was not great. Had to fix after contact with owner. No covers on bedroom windows worried my daughter. She put sheets up. Nice property for kids but it rained the whole time. 🥵thanks Chris.
We had a great weekend at the house. It’s perfect for getting away from it all yet close enough to enjoy wineries, the small towns around, & float the river. We packed a lot into our stay & had a great time exploring. Beds are comfy & house was great.
We really enjoyed our stay, and the location & accommodations were great. Beds were comfy, plenty of things to do on the property- star gazing, outdoor games. So many places to relax that it was hard to pick a favorite. The owners were friendly and easy to access. Loved the seclusion yet easy access to Wimberly or Dripping Springs/wineries/natural springs. Would definitely book this place again!
The property was exactly what we wanted: an out of the way place with plenty of room (both indoors and out) for 4 adults and 3 children. The two older kids loved the bunk beds, we used the fire pit extensively, and loved the quiet neighborhood. Look forward to coming back in the future.
Wonderful house & property when you need to get out of town & relax. Wish the weather hadn't gotten so cold - would have loved to hang outside at the barn. Would definitely come back!
House was just as described and a big lot with lots of outdoor space. Be careful of the big steps down to the sunken living area of you have children. But otherwise very nice, cozy house!
Our group of five had a wonderful time and we loved the style of the home. The owner was quick to respond when I had a question and the check in/out process was explained well. The home is a short drive to multiple wineries, breweries and downtown Wimberley. I would love to come back in the fall/winter to enjoy the huge fire pit!
Our first VRBO experience was a good one. The property was large, nice, quiet and peaceful. We loved seeing the deer in the mornings and evenings. The yard is very large and convenient for children. The house is spacious, comfortable and homey. There are a large variety of games supplied in the game room. Our only complaint was having no window coverings in two of the bedrooms. Not a deal breaker for us. We plan to go back.
We booked this to give the kids a nice vacation away from the craziness of the covid situation. I also camped with them on property for the first time and they loved it. It was near what we wanted to visit locally and a nice break away from big cities. Would recommend to all.
