Cozy 71m² condo located in the heart of black forest, up to 6 people, quiet location with great nature view direct from all the windows, public washing machine and dryer in the same building, free parking, direct access to the nature park and playground, 2 beautiful small lakes about 100 meters away behind the building, skillift is about 1km away, supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance.
Short distance drive to Triberg, Titisee, Europa-Park, Freiburg.

The space

• This condo is the only unit at the entire 4th floor, no next door neighbor, completely quiet and private.

•Guest toilet.

• 50 inch TV(Analogue TV and an HDMI cable for your own input), Sony sound bar,
free WiFi, vintage phonograph, massage chair.

• Double bed(2mx2m) in main bedroom, Sofa bed(3mx1.8m) in living room, single
bed(1mx2m) in a small studio which is in the main bedroom.

• Kitchen fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, oven, toaster and coffee
machine.

• Toilet with bathtub and private washing machine. Our shower/bath space is under a
pitched roof.

• Working desks are both in bedroom and studio.

• Balcony takes a great view from a Golf Course, equipped with sofa and chair for your relax.

• Big heated indoor swimming pool (11mX5m) open from 8:00 to 20:00. It's in the same building which can be directly reached by elevator, no walking distance.

Wonderful Black Forest Apt

We had a wonderful stay at Jane’s place. She was very responsive and helpful. We loved the location and very peaceful with a great view. The layout was perfect for my wife, 2 kids and I. The kitchen was great and nice to have the clothes washing machine available in the unit. We visited both Triberg and Europa park. Thanks Jane and we look forward to staying again.

16 Grad Zimmertemperatur

Die Wohnung entspricht der Anzeige, die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit. Leider sind vor Kurzem über WLAN steuerbare Regler an den Heizkörpern angebracht worden, die auf einem bestimmten Tagesrhythmus (von wann bis wann wird auf welche Temperatur geheizt, ab wann wird die Temperatur abgesenkt und auf wieviel Grad) programmiert sind. Die Regler lassen sich auch per Knopfdruck höher stellen, sobald aber das nächste programmierte Intervall beginnt, richtet sich der Regler wieder danach. Das Hauptproblem besteht darin, dass die zu erreichende Temperatur nur am Regler am Heizkörper selbst gemessen wird und nicht an einem Temperatursensor im Raum. Da das Wohnzimmer sehr groß und schlecht isoliert ist, wird der Raum einfach nicht warm, selbst wenn man die Temperatur am Regler höher stellt. Nach der ersten Nacht und einem Frühstück bei 15 Grad im Wohnzimmer und einem eisigen Badezimmer telefonierten wir mit der Vermieterin, die Abhilfe versprach. Es wurde zwar extern etwas an der Vorsteinstellung geändert, das löste das Problem nicht. Bei einer normalen Mietwohnung hätte das eine Mietminderung von 50% bedeutet. Die Vermieterin sah dies anders und war der Meinung, wir hätten „möglicherweise einen höheren Standard bei der Raumtemperatur“. Bei uns entstand insgesamt der Eindruck, es ginge primär darum, zu Ungunsten der Mieter Heizkosten zu sparen. Das ist uns in anderen Ferienwohnungen, auch in diesem Winter, so noch nicht begegnet. Wer also mehr als 15-16 Grad im Winter im Wohnzimmer erwartet, sollte sich besser eine andere Ferienwohnung suchen. Im Sommer ist die Wohnung bestimmt eine gute Option.

Der direkt an den Heizkörpern angebrachte elektronische Heizungsschalter mit Thermometer ist auf 20 Grad programmiert, die tatsächliche Temperatur liegt aber immer etwas über 20 Grad. An der Wand hängt ein altes Thermometer aus Jahrzehnten, das als Dekoration dient. Es zeigt immer 16 Grad an. Daher gehen wir davon aus, dass der elektrische genauer sein sollte.

Perfect for a getaway

Such a cozy spot to spend a few days to enjoy what the Black Forest has to offer. Jane made the process so easy, and happily accommodated for our children to ensure they also enjoyed their stay! Look forward to our next visit!

Leider konnten wir aufgrund der Corona Lage, die Sauna und das Schwimmbad nicht benutzen. Und das Hallenbad machte erst ab 15:30 Uhr auf und hat Sonntags geschlossen. Mit der Kona Card hätten wir den öffentlichen Verkehr kostenlos nutzen können, aber fehlten uns ein aktueller Busfahrplan. Wir hatten schlechtes Wetter, aber konnten trotzdem einige Wanderwege nutzen. Die waren auch schön. Minigolf war auch okay. Und das WLAN hat uns ein wenig gerettet.

Schöner Aufenthalt in Schönwald

wir haben die Tage als Familie bei Jane in Schönwald sehr genossen. Leider konnten wir den Pool nicht nutzen. Dafür haben wir viel Tischtennis gespielt und die schöne Umgebung erkundet. Wir kommen wieder!

Quaint property

While the owner was exceptionally helpful and the place was very well kept. It was smaller than expected. It was not a 2 bedroom and the bathroom is too small to take a shower. However this was a beautiful and well kept place for a couple. We were traveling with friends and it was not really convenient. Overall this place was very nice and secure. Quiet and serene.

Tolle Lage, viel Ruhe, etwas in die Jahre gekommen...

Der Kontakt mit der sehr netten Vermieterin war prima. Sie reagiert sofort... Die Lage der Wohnung im 4. Stock (mit Aufzug) verspricht Ruhe. Es kann keiner in die Wohnung gucken was viel Privatsphäre bedeutet. An der einen oder anderen Stelle könnte man mal renovieren, es wirkt teilweise etwas improvisiert und älter. Der Wellnessbereich im Souterain mit Schwimmbad ist sauber. Wir haben ihn öfter genutzt.

The unit was clean and had a great view but we really thought the unit needed a better tub

There was someone working on the unit above us at 1- 4am both nights and woke us up repeatedly. I was so pissed I just left. Limited pots make it difficult to make food. Check in was fine but long. It was ok , clean, safe, good location, and fun for kids With the pool. It defiantly has its up sides.

We know a new owner bought the apartment upstairs. He told us probably it would take a couple weeks to renovate the rooms(surely only at daytime), but the time range from 1--4am sounds unbelievable and crazy( they don't look like the persons who would work that hard:) ). I heard their renovation is done now. Booking a few days earlier or later probably could avoid that. Anyway I really feel sorry for your negative experience, and glad to hear the positive impression about the rest.

Ansich super FeWo. Sehr nette Vermieterin, immer gut erreichbar. Tolle Lage, gut ausgestattet, tolles Hallenbad. Einzigstes Manko das schlechte Doppelbett. Hart, knarrt bei jeder Bewegung ( links ) und harte Kissen. Im Winter etwas kühl, braucht lange bis die Wohnung aufgeheizt ist, gerade das Kinderzimmer. Ansonsten aber top. A wonderful week.

The property was easy to find and the apartment was clean and well-kept. It felt large and airy and the sofa on the balcony was my favourite spot. The children loved having the pool in the basement. The views over the golf course and the park were lovely. Most everyday necessities could be found in town, which was a quick walk. The town itself is well-situated for visiting most of the region's tourist sites, as long as you are prepared to drive for about an hour. One thing to be aware of is that the shops do not take foreign bank cards/credit cards, only german ones, so we go through a lot more cash than we expected. All in all, a wonderful week in the sun.

Estuvimos tres días alojados allí. El apartamento está limpio, las camas cómodas, la cocina bien (tampoco cocinamos mucho, suficiente para desayunos), tiene wifi, piscina cubierta y lavadora/secadora comunitaria. Lo único inconveniente es el baño, es abuhardillado y para ducharse es incómodo.
