Trish’s Stor Mara is more than a beach house, it’s a place with a story. Stor Mara means “Sea Treasure” in Irish. Trish was our mom, originally from Dublin, and although she lived all over the world, Galveston was her happy place. When our family bought this home, she always imagined it as a space to welcome guests; she truly loved hosting. After she passed in 2023, we decided to honor her by creating a warm, family-friendly guest space and naming it after her.
Today, Trish’s Stor Mara is a cozy Galveston home with a comfortable one-level layout and a big fenced backyard for outdoor time. You’re just one block from the beach (about a 2-minute walk), so beach days are always close, and you’ve got plenty of room to relax when you’re back at the house.
• Central location for easy travel to nearby attractions

We enjoyed our stay at Trish's Stor Mara. It is an excellent location - very close to the beach. The layout of the rooms was very accommodating, and the kitchen was well provided.
For a last-minute spring break getaway, I was pleasantly surprised to find a house still available within walking distance of the beach. We had an amazing time—the home was spotless and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable four-day stay.My only disappointment was not having access to the upstairs front balcony, which would have made the experience absolutely perfect.Check-in was smooth, and our host was responsive and readily available when needed. I would definitely recommend this home.
Stayed here for the Lonestar Rally. The house was in a PERFECT location as it was walking distance to all of the weekend activities as well as being a stone's throw from the best restaurant on the island, Millers. The house was in excellent condition and the ammenities were great. Working with the host was smooth and easy. Always was available and responded quickly. I would absolutely recommend this rental and I WILL be staying again!!!
