The location is ideal for access to hiking/biking trails, lakes, eateries, markets and outfitters. The cottage has a well stocked kitchen and outdoor gear.
We had an excellent stay in Glen Arbor. This house had everything we needed, was very comfortable and in a perfect location! We especially enjoyed evening fires listening to live music across the street. The owner was extremely attentive and helpful!
Great spot right in town. Lots of live music, good local restaurants and shops. House was clean and perfect for what we needed. 2 parents, 2 adult children and 2 teens with plenty of rooms for all to be comfortable. The 2 bathrooms were a lifesaver! Host was great and responded quickly! Great place to stay. And down the street to Lake Michigan, maybe a 5 mins walk. Can’t beat the location.
Walking distance from everything in glen arbor, including the lake. Very comfortable and great home feeling. Bikes were great for our ride on the heritage trail. Enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time and experience at the cottage. Perfect location, close to the beach for our evening strolls and many great restaurants and stores nearby. House was adorable and spacious for the six of us. We will definitely go back!

Great Glen Lake Experience
We loved our stay in the cottage. Both Lake Michigan & Glen Lake within walking distance. One block off Main Street with easy access to grocery store, restaurants and shops. The house easily slept our group of 4 adults, 2 children & 1 infant. It is nicely furnished and comfortable for a week at the lake. Highly recommend this property!
If you like being close to it all in Glen Arbor, you can't beat this cottage. A nice size for our family of 3 and it had everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen, good selection of bikes, gas and charcoal grills, fire pit, front and back yard for bags, etc., etc. Our second summer stay here, so we must like it ! Oh and it's a 5 minute walk down the road to the beach and some wonderful sunsets every night.
We could not have been happier with our choice to stay at this in town Glen Arbor cottage. It was the perfect home base for my wife and I to meet up with another couple who we no longer live close to.
The cottage had was sufficiently stocked with all kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom items we needed, as well as, a firepit, 2 paddleboards, multiple bikes, and washer/dryer.
The location allowed us easy walks to restaurants, shops, pickleball, and Lake Michigan.
We would not hesitate renting here again and again in the future.
We loved this house! Very cute and comfortable in a perfect location to enjoy the village or walk down to Lake Michigan. The outdoor area to the side of the house was the perfect place to hang out and reconnect. The house is very well equipped to cook some meals there and within walking distance of all of our favorites. The men caught salmon and had some of it cooked for us at local restaurant. Excellent communication with this host.Highly recommend this property!
We’ve been coming to Glen Arbor for a few years and decided to stay in the downtown area this time to avoid swimmers itch that my husband and son have gotten, despite our best efforts, whenever we’ve stayed on one of the Glen lakes. We chose this particular house for its central location to the shops and beach and we were not disappointed! This was a wonderful landing spot for us - two adults and two children ages 2 and 6. Having the washer and dryer was extremely handy and there was plenty of room to spread out. The furniture, bed linens, and some of the kitchen items were a bit tired/could use replacing. We’re very used to this from renting cottages in the area with that quirky up north feel, but those who aren’t may be put off by the quality for the higher amount spent for the nightly rate. Overall I’d recommend this place, as it’s ideal for easily exploring Glen Arbor as well as the surrounding Leelanau area!
My family visits Glen Arbor every summer and this is the best rental we’ve ever stayed in!
The location is so much fun with convenient access to the grocery store, shops, and playground. After the kids were in bed, we enjoyed sitting outside listening to live music playing nearby (but you still get peace and quiet after 9pm). The small public beach is also just a short walk down the road which was great.
The house has the charm you want from a classic Up North cottage but it’s also been thoughtfully renovated with comfort and functionality in mind. The compact kitchen is very functional with tons of storage for us to bring our own food (so many rentals fall short in this area!). The decor is pretty without being too cluttered so there were lots of places to tuck our belongings out of the way. While there were a couple of small spiders lurking in the corners, the house was very clean (and I challenge you to find me a house in northern MI that DOESN’T have any spiders!). We also loved having A/C and good TV options for the evenings.
Overall, this house has everything you could want PLUS more. There are so many extra amenities (ping pong, bikes, paddle boards, fire pit, etc.) that I feel a little guilty for not taking full advantage of everything it has to offer - I guess that just means we’ll have to come for another stay!
Glen Arbor is terrific all year round but the low key vibe and beauty of the autumn makes it a special time to visit. The cottage was perfect - a short walk to Lake Michigan and right in the mix of the town. The cottage is super cozy - fireplace, fire pit and board games to play in addition to all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. We’ve stayed at this cottage before and we’ll be back again.
We loved being right in downtown Glen Arbor. We could walk to the beach, grab drinks at arts (while our teens rode bikes), and grab groceries from the store without turning on the car.
We enjoyed sleeping bear, two beach days at empire, rock hunting in Leland and north port. My three boys played more ping pong than I could ever imagine…there was an ongoing tournament. We did a few outdoor fires too!
The house was well appointed and all furniture was extremely comfortable. The mattresses were great (which is often overlooked at homes we have rented). We had one of the most humid weeks ever in our 15 years of renting in northern Michigan and the AC kept up perfectly.
We hope to be back!
I will start with the good- the location is great and very close to town and beach. The extras they had included were nice- the ping pong and paddle boards! We have been coming to Glen Arbor for years and really enjoy all of the things to do in the area. The house itself was very cute and in a great location. We felt the place was pretty dirty and that may be the fault of the cleaning service they use. Other little things - the closets were very cluttered and messy and we had to have the bikes serviced to use them. The only working tv with cable is in the living room and there’s no full length mirror or any fans (the AC didn’t work well) . When we opened the windows at night they made creaking noises. These are things I would have appreciated knowing before booking and could easily be updated by the owners. The owners seemed very nice when I addressed a couple of concerns at the beginning. Like I said, it was a nice property and location but for the money, I expected more…
We spent a wonderful week at the rental. Perfect location, close to town, as well as the bike trail, both lakes, and lots of hiking trails. Very clean and cozy. Carolyn was very responsive and welcoming. Fast Wi-Fi let us get some work done. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to make a meal. Tons of games and nice small touches that made it feel like our own. Highly highly recommend - we will be back!
This house was great for our family-- so close to all our favorite spots in Glen Arbor. The outdoor part of the property was fun for the kids with the ping pong table and fire pit. And we loved having access to the stand up paddle boards to try out in the lake.
Best location in downtown Glen Arbor. Walk to the beach, restaurants and grocery store. The homeowner goes out of her way to ensure you have a fun vacation. With bicycles, SUP, ping pong table and fire pit this place is sure to please all ages.
Very familiar with this cottage for many years and love the location and convenience. The new owners have completely renovated the interior and upgraded the outside without sacrificing the charm. Every amenity and lots of thoughtful extras. Love this place!
Very cute cottage right in the heart of Glen Arbor. Walkable to small beach and everything in GA. Cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a little chilly while we were there and the heat worked well. We only had three people but the living spaces are large and would also be great for a larger group.
If you don't know Glen Arbor, you might not understand how ideal the location of this property is. We didn't.
It is 25 yards from the main street in town, 75 yards from the grocery. The lot next to the property is vacant so we were able to sit by the fire and watch the action on the street, as it were, in quiet solitude.
The inside of the property itself is pristine. Comfortable seating abounds, and the A/C and fans work beautifully.
The owner was very attentive throughout our stay, checking in with me via text a few times to make sure all was well.
I highly recommend this property.
This house is really great. Nice property, house is well equipped. Comfortable outside area with table and chairs, hammocks, ping pong, fire pit, and fun fairy lights! So many wonderful things to do. The owners are so awesome, they allow you to use their bikes, rafts, paddle boards, ping pong equipment, and beach toys! Beds were comfortable and linens clean.

Fabulous rental, responsive and thoughtful owner, ideal location. afraid it was too good to be true!
My family of four had a fantastic stay at this cottage. The owner has thought of everything. Bikes and paddle boards in the shed, a working grill, perfect family room for hanging out inside, three comfortable bedrooms plus a den, tons of dvds, fire pit and an unbeatable location. The cottage is nestled right in the heart of town, but slightly set back in the woods so that while you can see out to everything, no one really sees over to you. It’s magical. One block from the lake and steps to everything else. I can’t say enough great things. I am so grateful this is now available. It is so hard now to find an affordable and updated place to stay in Glen Arbor. This was perfect. We’ll be back next summer. Thank you Carolyn!
