We loved the views! The deck! We fished and kayaked! Cooked out and ended the night in their Jacuzzi! There was plenty of room for everyone! Thanks you! We will be back!

The hot tub was amazing! I was looking for a place with a hot tub and close enough to downtown to easily get to activities in New Braunfels. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean which is always most important. It got cold out so we didn't go outside much, but there are multiple places to sit outside and enjoy the view when the weather is nice. We did run the window AC units for a little while when we first got there and they worked well. We had three adults and found it to be a comfortable stay for a good price. Thanks for sharing your cute cottage with travelers!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this rustic Lake Dunlap house. The backyard was the reason we rented this VRBO.I was great to be right on the water. The hot tub was a plus, warmed right up for the cold December nights. Quiet neighborhood. There is someone who lives on the property, but we never saw them or heard them, just a car would come and go periodically. We definitely felt we had our own space and privacy. It was not an issue at all. The house itself is rustic, no frills. I really do not want to write a bad review per say, because we did have a good time... but let's say this place has potential. A paint job, new fresh linens, and some general TLC of the property and grounds would make this VRBO a sought-after place to stay.

We were never able to check in, host would not get in contact with us, we had to contact vrbo customer service and they could not get in touch with the host either. We messaged the host numerous times and also tried to call numerous times, I do not know if they had an emergency or what happened but my family was in a bad situation late at night for a long time, luckily we were able to get them a hotel room. I really feel like the host should have contacted me 18-24 hours prior to our stay or even the minute that they saw that we had booked the home! We had zero communication with host and zero instruction with check in and getting inside the property.

VERY DISAPPOINTED in the communication and consideration from this host!! We booked a stay here for a special family trip, made plans to travel across the state, and sent the host a note about how excited we all were for the visit. I didn’t hear back from the host for 2 days, and then all they sent was an automated code that said “RESERVATION-CANCELED-DOUBLE-BOOKED-ON-OTHER-PLATFORM.” While that would normally be acceptable when notified right away, I I thought it was incredibly unprofessional and incredibly inconsiderate to cancel 2 days later when we had already paid, made arrangements, and a lot of other rentals were already taken at that point, especially when the host did that without any kind of human-typed message or actual care for the people paying them so much to rent their property. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!
