One block to the beach, Seawall, Murdochs and a day in the sun. Three blocks to exciting fun on the Pleasure Pier. Hop on the Galveston Trolley near the house for a day at Moody Gardens, shopping or dining in the Strand district, or visit an art gallery on Post Office street. Take a pleasant stroll in the evening to many fine restaurants. Our beautifully remodeled 1908 Victorian home is just one block from the historic Galvez Hotel which is the epicenter for some of Galveston's largest events. Now you can truly enjoy your vacation without needing to use the car to get to restaurants, shops, bars and grocery. Comfort and convenience is yours at our home.

Great Galveston home base by Pleasure Pier

We had a very short stay with our 3yo and doodle, and the location and house itself were all perfect. The property manager was great to work with and super prompt in responding to questions I had while booking. Would rent again!

We had the best time at this house. Just a block from the beach. They had lots of beach toys and chairs for the kids to play with. No complaints. Can’t wait to come back!!

Everything fun was within walking distance.

We felt so lucky to be at this beachhouse, the walk to the beach, Murdochs gift shop and Pleasure Pier was awesome. Never had to travel far from our rental. Neighborhood was very peaceful.

Best All Around

Our comfort VBRO - so good for what you get and location. Everything is convenient. The big plus here is the owners have all the beach stuff-- literally-- all. Helps so much in planning knowing they have it covered. Stay here every year.

Great Stay / Great Location

Great location in a quiet, low key neighborhood. One block from beach and close to trolley stop. Well equipped kitchen, ample utensils, cups, dishes, cookware. Beach chairs, umbrella, wagon, boogie boards available for use.House was clean and host very responsive to questions/ needs. Would stay again and would recommend.

Great visit!

The house was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. It's in a perfect location with easy access to the beach, restaurants and the strand. We had a little trouble with the front door lock but the property owner was quick to respond and very attentive. Would highly recommend staying at the house.

Property was just as described, I had a couple questions both before and during our stay, they were promptly answered by the prop manager. Home had good written detailed instructions and stay expectations. Could walk to sea wall within a couple mins.

Great Stay in Galveston!

This was a family trip for us. Never been to Galveston before. House was great and accurately described. Perfect location to easily walk to the beach with lots of restaurants close by too. Downtown Galveston was also so easy to get to. All the beach chairs & umbrellas at the house worked gray too.

Galvaston Vacation

We had plenty of room for 10 of us. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Towels for all. We used the grill one evening. The place was clean.Everything was stocked well. Owner was pleasant. Only a block from the ocean. Short walk to the pier. I would stay again!

Quaint house in Galveston

The property manager (or owner) was very nice and easy to work with. The house is quaint, though somewhat rustic. A few upgrades and cleaning of the exterior would make it more appealing. The location and surrounding homes are less attractive than what I had expected, but the home seems nicer than many of those around it.

Perfect Place

This was a perfect place for our family! We were walking distance to the beach and everything was provided just for that! Umbrella, chairs, wagon, cart, sand toys, everything! Our kids were able to enjoy their very first trip to the beach without a single card for us or them! The house was amazing. The beds were comfortable, the AC was cold, and all the seating at the table was nice to have. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home and we will 100% book this house again when we return to Galveston!

10/10 Would Book Again!

The two biggest factors in my review are the hosts communication and the location of the home! You're within walking distance of everything you want to do in Galveston. It was great because GPS was sometimes a little funny so being able to walk places was very nice. The host was awesome to work with and had great communication! The only downside we had was the beds were very high so the smaller kids and my older mother had trouble getting into and out of the beds. I would definitely book here again though!

Great Stay at Casa Azul

My family loved our stay at this home. There was plenty of space for our party of 6 and we could have comfortable slept 2-4 more guests. We could walk to the beach everyday and the amenities were perfect. The beds were comfy enough for a great night's sleep after swimming and sight seeing. Some other reviews mention the home being a little dusty, but c'mon, it's used as a beach house and to be expected. Don't fill the refrigerator with warm and room temperature drinks and it cools just fine. We had zero problems with it staying at temp. I would be very happy to book this home again for a future stay.

Overall good experience

The house was clean and in great condition. We had no issues with the refrigerator cooling. The first night we were there one of the beds had a wet spot on the sheets and there were no extra sheets to put on the bed. The AC also quit working during the night. I contacted the property manager first thing the next morning and they had everything fixed within an hour. The washing machine doesn't spin and the dryer took about 8 hours to dry 4 towels.. oOther than that the location is great and the house was comfortable.

Needs attention

We loved the location and the space this house provided. Unfortunately, it needs attention to general cleaning and repairs. The kitchen amenities are very worn and ragged. May be ok for some, but not acceptable for a family that plans to prep meals. The refrigerator is a known problem and needs replacement The "play space" is a giant sticker patch. Not kid friendly. The musty smell and bugs were a downer. The manager responded with assurance that it will be taken care of, but it wasnt stay ready for us.

Unsafe & Touchy Rental Person

Stairwell landing trip hazard as you come in door, entrance. Refrigerator did not cool as it should. We contacted home rep. & he told me that i should read the paper in fridge, to put our items in the freezer until the refrigerator cools down in 5-6 hrs. The wall socket is a safety hazard! I unplugged the ‘fridge from the socket due electrical noise from socket. i replugged into the other wall socket. The alarm went off twice when ‘fridge was opened/closed. oversight male was rude, did not offer to assist, also the paper on wall told us to put trash out back & put dishwasher going w/ other cleaning items when the rental included maid/ cleaning dollars for clean up.

What a beautiful and comfortable home

What a beautiful and comfortable home!! The home is spacious and comfortable for our group of seven women. We had come for dickens on the strand weekend and it was a very easy drive from the home there. New mattresses were an added bonus! We will plan on staying there again for our next trip to Galveston. Walking 1 1/2 blocks to the beach, even in December, was great for strolling early in the morning and watching the fog (couldn’t see the sunrise!) perhaps next time we will be able to take advantage of the mini games they had there for use, and hope to come sometime in the summer to be able to make use of the plentiful beach items they had for use by the guests . No complaints with the property or the host!
