3 Reasons Why I Fell In Love:
- The sound of morning song birds, ravens, and dappled sunlight filtering through oak trees while enjoying a hot cup of coffee out on the deck.
- The glorious blanket of shimmering stars that came to life while soaking in the hot tub after a long hike.
- Sipping a fine glass of pinot noir in our king sized rocking chair while basking in the waning light of an afternoon sun.

The Oak Haven was perfect for our 3 night stay in Sonoma Valley. My wife and her sisters enjoyed wine in the hot tub and soft robes. We will definitely stay there again!
It was a beautiful home with an amazing view. We had a couple of deer show up in the morning while having breakfast. Host was quick to respond with any question I had. Would stay there again
We loved the central location and the property surrounded by greenery. The hot tub was a nice bonus at the end of the day. Kelly is an awesome host with great communication.
Our sister trip was wonderful. We loved seeing the wildlife everyday. All instructions and notes were great. The house well stocked with necessities. We enjoyed the hot tub every day!
We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was a great location really close to Kenwood and Glenn Ellen. Also very clean with great amenities. Would stay here again!
This was a nice get away in between wineries, spas and hiking. Loved the hot tub option. Could use some updating inside the home, but it was very clean and comfortable.
Only stayed the night but really enjoyed this place. It was clean and comfortable in a gorgeous, quiet area. Just don't forget to plan ahead and give the hot tub ample time to heat up before you use it! I also really appreciated that ice was available in the freezer. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
This was a perfect home that had everything we needed for a nice stay in the Sonoma area. The home was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. Home was close to many nice vineyards. Would definitely stay again.
The rental was in a great location. There was plenty in the area to do within an hour drive between wineries, sight seeing, and hiking. House was well stocked with amenities needed to stay.
Stayed two nights with another two couples for anniversary celebration in Napa. The location was a bit far from our exploration area so did not fully enjoy what the house/cabin could offer as we really just used it to land and sleep. Unfortunately, the house needs some attention, it felt like it needed to be aired out and we did have different types of bugs some in the kitchen, the restrooms and one of the adults did say was bitten by something during the night while sleeping. The surrounding area is beautiful and full of wild life, did not get to use the deck much or the hot tub at all. Since it’s on the mountain, it gets very dark and would be ideal to stargaze at night. I must say there is a smell to the running water due to it coming from the springs near by but it was overall a nice place to return after a busy day of wine tasting and exploring Napa Valley. If you wish to disconnect from the city noise or need time away in a natural setting you would enjoy this property. There is a small town nearby but unfortunately everything closes early around 9 pm. We had to drive to Santa Rosa looking for a nice Italian restaurant to celebrate our anniversary since we didn’t know town shuts down early. Host Kelly has indications throughout the property inside and out for everyone to know how to take care of her house. She’s also got an extensive manual/guide available that provides additional information that you may require; it was useful when we were trying to watch a movie.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for choosing The Oak Haven for your anniversary celebration, Angelica. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful natural surroundings and found the guidebook helpful during your stay.
I’d like to address a few of the concerns you mentioned. The home is professionally cleaned between every booking, and we maintain regular pest control service. I’m not clear on what type of bug you encountered, but because the property is surrounded by nature, and right next to the woods, it may be that ants or a mosquito found its way inside. That said, we take all reports and feedback seriously and will follow up with an inspection to ensure everything remains in excellent condition.
Also, to be clear, the property is located in Sonoma County, not Napa County, though it puts you within easy driving distance of both Sonoma and Napa Valley wineries. And, the property is not on a mountain, though the surrounding rolling vineyards might give that impression.
Regarding the water, it is sourced from Morton's Warm Springs across the street, so it carries a natural mineral scent. It's perfectly safe, but we also provide a spring water dispenser for drinking.
Thank you again for your stay. I hope you have the chance to return and enjoy the hot tub under those beautiful starry skies.
The house was the perfect size for our group of 5 adults. It’s perfectly located close to the Sonoma Hwy and all the wineries, towns, and restaurants. We even saw some deer wandering around the property. Just beautiful and serene. Will definitely stay again.
We stayed here as a family - 6 adults attending a family members wedding at a local winery. The location is ideal. Although we didn’t take advantage of the hot tub the home was well equipped. We plan to return to take advantage of all the amenities.
Beautiful, spacious home. Very close to many fantastic wineries. Host was responsive and very kind. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.
It was so warm and inviting! We used the hot tub morning and night! Loved seeing the wild deer and turkeys! It was peaceful and comfortable. Thank you Kelly! We loved your home!
We had a wonderful stay while exploring Napa and Sonoma. Kelly was so kind and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was clean, cozy and the hot tub was a great bonus!
We had a great family gathering. We visited friends in Santa Rosa, just 15 minutes away. Love the hot tub, very organized and clear instructions. Would stay there again.

Why they chose this property
As a nature lover and avid hiker, I was drawn to Glen Ellen for its numerous state parks and cycling opportunities. Awe inspiring natural surroundings took my breath away and had me coming back to the area time and time again. The near-by town of Sonoma was delightfully quaint with diverse restaurant options, artisan craft stores, and wine tasting opportunities.
When I decided to look for a vacation home, privacy was on the top of my priority list. I said, "yes" as soon as I walked into the house in 2013. The house was perfectly situated for privacy with sprawling woods on one side, a sloping hill behind us and a tall fence separating our property from a friendly neighbor.
What makes this property unique
The unique benefits offered at the house are numerous! They include dark and quiet nights, clear starry skies, a six person hot tub, abundant outdoor seating, amazing giant oak trees around the house, many near-by vineyard, numerous epic state parks, and a self igniting fire place.
