I chose Guting because it’s one of the rare places in Taipei that feels both central and calm. It’s an educational district with a slower pace of life, yet incredibly convenient—just minutes from the MRT and within walking distance of Shida (MTC), riverside parks, cafés, and local eateries. I enjoy that the neighborhood is quiet at night, surrounded by longtime residents, small parks, and students, rather than nightlife or heavy traffic. It’s easy to live here, whether you’re studying, working remotely, or simply wanting to experience everyday Taipei.
