For those that like all the details up front, we've prepared the below.
Designed with families in mind, Belleau Bear Camp keeps things simple in the best way. With a main floor primary bedroom, with a queen bed, and double bunk bunk room you can easily sleep up to 6 people on just the first floor. The upstairs loft can sleep another 4 with the queen bed and twin with a trundle. The main floor also has a full bathroom with shower but the loft has its own half bath making life easier on all guests.
No long drives to the water, no overcrowded beaches—just an easy 2 min walk to Belleau Lake, where you can spend the day swimming, floating, or watching the kids play. Back at the house, there’s space for everyone to spread out, whether it’s game time in the living room, quiet coffee on the deck, or kids claiming the bunk room as their own.
What guests love most is how effortless everything feels. You’re close enough to enjoy the charm of East Wakefield, New Hampshire and the broader Lakes Region, but far enough from the crowds of Lake Winnipesaukee to truly relax. ARRIVAL
From the moment you arrive, Belleau Bear Camp invites you to slow down. Towering pines surround the property, offering privacy and a true “in the woods” feel, while the soft glow from the windows promises warmth inside.
Step through the door and you’ll find spaces designed for togetherness — whether that’s curling up with a good book after a day on the lake or gathering around the bonfire for late night hangs.
KITCHEN
Start your mornings with coffee on the deck as the woods wake up around you. You will find everything you need allowing you to make a quick breakfast or a full on celebratory meal.
Check each cupboard and drawer for mixers, serving & baking trays, platters, and utensils, yes, even a can opener and egg slicer.
Whether you're a toast afficionado, or a seasoned chef, you'll be in good hands.
BATHROOMS
You will find towels in the closet in the downstairs bathroom and the drawers hold extra hand and make up towels for your needs. In the loft closet you will also find beach towels and extra linens, if needed.
Feel free to wash anything you need in the downstairs laundry, just please shake out any beach towels outside before washing them.
BEDROOMS
1. On the main floor you will find a bunk room that can sleep up to 6 people. This can be arranged by sleeping two in the full size bottom bunk and rolling in a cot from the room next door. So really...if you wanted to, 6 kiddos could pile right in.
2. The primary room on the main floor has a queen bed as well as built ins that house all of the books, games, & puzzles.
You will also find an office desk and chair in this room in case you need to find a quiet spot to work. You can also place our provided pack 'n play in this room and keep everyone together. The pack 'n play can be found in the upstairs closet. Sheet is provided.
3. In the loft is the cozy second living room and a space that could sleep a whole family thanks to the queen size bed and the twin bed with a pull out twin trundle.
Go ahead, make the space yours by lounging on our XL leather chair while you either take in your own tv show or read a book under the sky lights.
OUTDOORS
Spend your days paddling on the lake or exploring charming New England towns.
When heading to the lake, feel free to grab some inflatables, beach chairs, and toys in the basement and fill up the beach cart with all you need. (Don't worry, we have a pump for those inflatables, if needed.)
Come back in the evening and get that fire pit going as you grill out on the back deck and get ready for a meal under the setting sun.
Late into the evening, wind down with a cocktail while sitting in front of the bonfire or grab a game or a puzzle and see who wins an extra s'more!

If you're looking for an early morning sweat, you have options - take in a morning jog which will be just hilly enough and end it with a plunge in the lake, or get on the original Nordic Track in the basement, where you will also find some light weights.
