Luxury, Family Friendly, Self-Contained B&B in the Heart of the Huon Valley

“Birch Lane” is a fully self-contained, super comfortable piece of tranquillity in the heart of the Huon Valley in southern Tasmania. The apartment is self-catering with full English breakfast provided. Guests will need to shop for other provisions.
Your hosts, Peter and Michelle, travel a lot, and we know what we like. Comfort, cleanliness, convenience, privacy, peace and quiet, and natural beauty close to shops and tourist attractions. “Birch Lane” has all this, plus a few surprising extra touches to make your stay memorable and comfortable.

Fully equipped kitchen: “Birch Lane” boasts a dishwasher, full-sized fridge freezer, oven, cooktop and pantry, wine glasses and dinner settings for 4 people. Want to cook a roast? Or some scones for afternoon tea in your private courtyard? No problem. All the extra little bits and pieces are in the pantry.
Laundry: Hiding in your large, spacious bathroom is a washing machine, dryer and laundry trough.
Private Courtyard: a beautiful sunshiny spot where you can sit year-round and enjoy the garden with afternoon coffee or a glass of wine. (see our gallery for pictures). In October the wisteria is dripping with purple blossom. All the flower photos in the gallery are courtyard flowers. And when it’s raining, there’s a comfy chair where the sun streams in to sit enjoy the garden from inside the French doors. Our cat is happy to join you any time.
Queen-sized Bed: The queen size bed has a latex mattress, luxurious linen and a selection of pillows in varying fillings and profiles for guest comfort.
Extra Guests: The apartment will accommodate extras: a foldaway bed with a custom-made mattress and feather topper for comfort., a double sofa-bed in the lounge with a memory foam topper, and a porta cot is available for babies. See booking page for rates.
Air Conditioning: Your apartment is air-conditioned with reverse cycle heating and cooling.
Unlimited free Wi-Fi., Chromecast and a selection of DVD's. Plus a work station.
Guest Parking: Guests have access to covered parking and completely private entrances.
Staying one night? No problem. We prefer a minimum 2 -night stay but a single night is fine with us. And if you are enjoying your stay, you can book for longer subject to availability.
