When we arrived the back yard we had to go through was dark & the people in the house kept looking through the blinds with no lights on on the house. It seamed sketchy so we left & went get a hotel room. I would love a refund because we didn’t even stay

Hi Bryan, thank you for letting me know about your experience. I’m sorry to hear that the arrival felt uncomfortable for you. The property does have a private rear entrance, which is why access is through the backyard, and the neighboring house is occupied, so it’s possible you saw neighbors in their home. That said, I completely understand that if you felt uneasy, leaving was the best decision for you. Unfortunately, because the reservation was active and the space was held for your stay, I’m unable to issue a refund under the booking policy. The listing was not accurate. The rental was not well kept as seen in the damages around the unit and the poorly built structure of the unit. It was a super cold night and all the gaps in the doors and windows let in all the cold air. On top of this, there was a home in front of the rental that appeared to be abandoned but had people inside and entering throughout the night. My partner and I left within the first 20 minutes. We called for our money back from Vrbo and have yet to receive it even though they said we would get it back.

I always encourage guests to reach out immediately so we can make things right, and it’s unfortunate that wasn’t done in this case. We take feedback seriously and are always willing to assist, but we can only act on concerns that are communicated.
