Monica was such a welcoming and helpful hostess! Appreciated the welcome gift we received the first evening we arrived. We really enjoyed the cozy home. It was so roomy for our family. Loved the decor and the great location to local attractions and wonderful restaurants. Looking forward to our next trip, hoping to book here once again!
This place is so fun! The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated magnificently and are beautiful. I would love to have them in my house. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was cozy and comfortable too. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch all weekend. Our whole family watched movies each night in the living room. The decor and rooms are very entertaining and well curated. It made this experience fun and enjoyable to stay in a home unlike our own. Each room has its own character. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We walked to the capital and around it, enjoying the area. There is a Frank Loyd Wright house just a few blocks away too. It’s very convenient to Buffalo Trace distillery, which is what we went for. Also close to restaurants and shops in town. It would work great for 4 couples as the bathrooms are all independent of any of the bed rooms. Our family of 5 enjoyed the space and everyone having their own room. The host was very kind, informative and did an amazing job putting this house together.
Hi! I’m Monica. My family and I fell in love with Kentucky’s rich history, horses, and bourbon culture — and we’ve been restoring this historic home as a true labor of love. We host because we genuinely enjoy creating a space that feels special, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked — the kind of place we’d want to stay ourselves.
I’m detail-oriented (in a good way!) and care deeply about comfort, cleanliness, and the guest experience. I love historic architecture, local food, and exploring small towns. If you need anything during your stay, I’m responsive and happy to help — and I’m always open to kind feedback so we can keep improving.
Why they chose this property
We chose South Frankfort for its charm, walkability, and sense of community. It’s the kind of place where neighbors wave, the streets are beautiful, and you can feel the history around you — while still being close to everything you want to do in the area.
Expect a quiet, classic neighborhood with gorgeous old homes, tree-lined streets, and a relaxed pace. We love morning walks, porch-sitting, and being near downtown spots, local restaurants, and the best Kentucky day trips.
What makes this property unique
This home stands out because it’s not a generic rental — it’s a carefully restored historic property with character, layers, and personality. We’ve blended heritage details with modern comfort, and we stock it like a home (not an empty investment). It’s designed for relaxing, reconnecting, and for memorably enjoying Kentucky.
