“Scout’s House” cabin on 2 acres Dog Friendly!

Welcome to Scout’s House named after our youngest dog, don’t tell the other two :).
Yes, we are dog friendly! This “mellow yellow” hidden gem is nestled on two private acres of land. Beat the hustle and bustle and enjoy the tranquility that Greer has to offer. Cozy up next to the indoor fireplaces, star gaze in Arizona’s top rated dark skies, or enjoy the famous prime rib at Molly Butler’s.

SURROUNDING LAND:

Private 2 acres fenced with cattle wire but safe for kids to roam freely. The road to our cabin is a dead end which means no traffic or cars passing by.

Our cabin has 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms. Fully stocked kitchen, for large groups. A working area for those who work from home.

The cabin comfortably sleeps 9 people, with a pull out sofa couch to sleep 10.

Bedroom 1: master bedroom includes 1 king bed, connected to master bathroom

Bedroom 2: includes 1 king bed connects to Jack and Jill full bathroom

Bedroom 3: includes bunk beds 2 twins and 1 full also connected to the Jack and Jill bathroom

The library/den has pull out sofa with a full mattress to sleep 1 or 2 comfortably.

Stay connected with Wi-Fi on the property, which can be spotty during weather.

PARKING:

Free parking in the front, side and back of the cabin. Lots of room to fit ATVS, trailers and RV.

DOGS:

We understand how hard it is to leave the pups when you want to get away.
We welcome all well behaved dogs for a $100 fee. (2 pet max)
Please add your pet to your reservation for approval.
Our property is on two acres and not fenced. We encourage dogs on a leash if they are not good at recall.
We have two long leashes on the deck for your use.

GROCERY STORE:

The closest grocery store (Safeway) is in Springerville about 25 minutes from the cabin. We recommend to stop in Pinetop prior to your arrival for any goods at the Safeway or Country Store (Bashas).
Lazy Trout Market is in Greer, small market for ice, beer, dry foods, fishing tackle, and souvenirs.

SAFETY IS KEY:

Our property has a Ring doorbell camera on the front door. The camera actively records video and audio when motion is detected by the device or when the video doorbell is pressed.
We have 2 Blink cameras on the property one is outdoor facing on the right of the cabin and the second is above the carport in the back of the property. Both cameras actively records video and audio when motion is detected.
All cameras do not look into the interior.

WINTER MONTHS:

Sunrise Ski Resort is a 20 minute drive from the cabin.
Super recommend to download the app AZ511 for weather forecast. Greer zip code is 85297. To access the cabin you will have to drive down dirt roads (no incline, just flat) so during winter months we highly encourage 4WD vehicles, and have tire chains just in case. We do not offer refunds if there’s little snow or too much that’s Mother Nature. We do supply firewood during the winter season.

Enjoy coffee on the deck watching herd of elk or deer cross the property. The crowd favorite of wild turkeys roam freely!
A stargazers dream to visibly see the Milky Way. Endless trails to hike, lakes to fish, with Sunrise being 15 miles away for skiing, and mountain biking. Make sure to check out their new rollercoaster! Chef’s kiss!

We are tucked away in the heart of Greer. Just a hop, skip and a jump from Main Street. Our cabin is walking distance to all restaurants on the strip just over the hill to be exact we have a secret short cut. If you’re not feeling up to the incline from the hill it’s a 10-15 minute walk to Rendezvous, Molly Butler’s and Coffee Cure.
2-3 minute drive to the Lost Resort.

Ideal for families, friends getaway, couple’s retreat, and hunters resting stop.
