About this property

Peaceful, private creekside home in a premier Jackson Hole location

This 3 bedroom home is positioned along a year-round creek among trees and visiting wildlife in one of Jackson Hole's most desirable forested west-bank neighborhoods. This welcoming home offers an exceptional location to experience everything the valley has to offer. Wildlife is seen often from moose browsing on the river willows and ducks floating by to deer in the meadows and owls calling back and forth most nights. The property is less than 4 miles from Teton Village, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and the entrance to Grand Teton National Park. A short drive brings you to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, a grocery and wine store, banks, and other conveniences. The town of Jackson is about 15 minutes away.

This property is offered only occasionally unlike a typical investment rental. Owners intentionally limit occupancy to 6 guests so the home does not experience wear and tear associated with other rental properties. The home includes original artwork, thoughtfully curated furnishings and many items not found in typical rentals. The owners place great importance on preserving a peaceful setting for the wildlife and surrounding neighbors. No events or parties are allowed. If you are looking for a quiet and restorative setting you will find this property exceptional. If you are planning a large family reunion, however, it will not be a good fit.

The bedrooms are located on the upper level while the primary living spaces is on the main floor. The main level features an open living room with large windows overlooking a 2000+ square foot deck, a cozy den with flat screen TV and fireplace, an oversized kitchen, a dining area, and an office with high-speed internet. The spacious laundry room offers front loading washer/dryer and cupboards stocked with towels for the hot tub just outside on the deck. Adjoining the laundry room is a charming nook--ideal for reading, relaxing or catching up on emails while listening to the sound of the creek just outside.

The primary suite is privately situated on the north side of the home and features a king bed, television, large windows and spacious bath with travertine shower and jetted soaking tub. Adjoining is a quaint private deck to enjoy morning coffee, watch wildlife and listen to the creek just below.

The second guest bedroom features a king canopy bed, a private 3/4 bath, cathedral ceilings with rustic beams, TV, and mountain views.

The third bedroom features a queen bed along with 1 set of full-sized bunk beds. Windows open to lovely creek and meadow views just outside. A full bath is conveniently located just outside the bedroom in the hallway.

To comply with both Teton County and HOA all rentals are blocked for a 31 day period regardless of the term.

About the host

Host profile image
We have enjoyed living in Jackson Hole for over 35 years. My husband is a back country skier and avid cyclist who enjoys every bit of the valley (especially the steep parts......) year round. We both enjoy traveling but have found the more we travel the more we love being in the wilds of Jackson Hole.

Why they chose this property

This home is nestled in the woods along a year round creek so there are moose, deer and elk visiting on a regular basis. On the back deck, over 2000 sf, there is a huge deck with built in seating, hot tub, BBQ, etc. This deck becomes an additional 'living room" most of the year. The house style is best described as eclectic as it is a mixture of modern art, wood floors, rustic beams, linen accents, and warm Irish pine pieces that all fit to to make the home very comfortable and welcoming. The property is immensely peaceful and only minutes from a grocery store and café where you can ride bikes for ice cream or coffee in the summer, grab hot enchiladas on the way home from work, etc. Very convenient.

What makes this property unique

Location, location. Lovely area to experience what it is like to live in Jackson Hole. There is a reason our area is one of the most sought out in the valley. You wake up to moose and deer in the yard, are minutes from all the fun---the Grand Teton Park entrance, JH ski area, the bike path and great coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. In the wintertime you are about 5 minutes from the acclaimed JH Mountain Resort. Afterward, snow shoe or cross country ski along the Snake River. If you want to run into town for a great dinner or live entertainment the drive will take you about 15-20 minutes, really just moments away. While here be sure to stop by Noras for breakfast in Wilson-that's a 15 minute bike ride or 5 minutes by car. It's a quaint old authentic restaurant where most locals show up for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
