Wonderful stay

We loved this apartment. It was close to stores and great places to eat. It feels more like a home and has a wonderful balcony to enjoy. It has a mix of historic charm and up scale living. We will stay here again most definitely.

It really is home away from home

We love staying at this location in Charlotte, the best pizza is down the road and great shopping a walk away at Envy. The place is fabulous, so cute and the porch is most enjoyable. We recommend it to everyone, hotels are not the way to enjoy a city, actually living in the city is the only way.

Awesome Neighborhood.

Not only is the property it self a nice little hidden gem in Charlotte but the neighborhood is amazing and very walkable. They went above and beyond when I left my Apple Watch to get it back to me. I will definitely be staying with them again! Thank you so much.

Great home away from home in Charlotte!

I stayed in the unit just for one evening while visiting relatives who live nearby. It was perfect! The apartment is clean and comfortable, and the snacks and drinks were more than I expected. I'd definitely stay here again.

Very nice - Convenient Location

The place was clean and spacious. The owners attentive and considerate. The bed was very comfortable. A great experience all the way around. About 1.5 miles to the Spectrum and the weather was nice so we walked every day.

Excellent, as always

This is the third time our family has stayed at one of Jim's properties in Charlotte. We enjoy them so much that we seek them out exclusively for our visits to Charlotte. This apartment is well-maintained, thoughtfully appointed, and in a great location.

Wonderful stay

Quirky old building in an excellent location- I'm in the charlotte area often, and for the first time, my residence was walkable to stores and dining. Quiet street close to the action. Charlie was a welcoming and accommodating host; not at all intrusive, yet only a text or phone call away. We loved the snacks and bar too! I will definitely seek out another home collection property for my next stay!

Cute apartment

Was it really cute apartment older but I like that nice wooden floors High ceilings. Only issue I had was I could not run the dishwasher at the same time as the window unit air conditioner in the dining room or the fuse would flip lol.

Lovely Spot in Great Walking Location to Restaurants

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks while trying to find a neighborhood to move to in Charlotte. We liked the area so much, we moved in just down the street. Our favorite part of this place was the lovely 2nd floor balcony/patio and we spent a lot of time there people watching. The home is lovely, in a quiet area, and close to restaurants and bars in Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood. It would have been nice to have more toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels for a 2 week stay. We ran out fairly quickly and had to run to the Harris Teeter nearby.

GREAT PLACE AND SERVICE

This is such a unique apartment. Although only one bedroom and bath it is very spacious and you actually feel like you are in a small home. Love the outside terrace and watching all the walkers and their dogs! A great place to unwind after a day working or whatever. The management team is very responsive and although the internet went down for a short-time (not their fault and outage in the area), they kept us updated until all was good. Loved that the owner left such nice snacks and wine and felt appreciated. Very convenient to wherever you need to head out too and we will surely be back!

Gem in the Queen City

*Clean apartment and very comfortable king size bed. Had all of the amenities of a hotel room with extra added comforts and treats: - Wine and snacks on the counter & fridge, Apple TV, and Free Wifi. * In walking distance to several restaurants and bars; we tried Customshop, the Elizabeth Creamery, and Cajun Queen. * We were a group of three walking all around the neighborhoods. I felt comfortable walking around during the day alone, but I would be more vigilant at night around the apartment. * Ventured further out by driving to the 7th street Market, Amelie's bakery, and the US National Whitewater Center for a full day of hiking. *** Perfect for a home base while visiting Charlotte.

Fantastic Football Weekend With Friends

My husband & I recently stayed in this charming house when we met up with some local friends for a football weekend. We are from FL so the porch with a cool breeze in the evening was our favorite spot in the house. We walked everywhere including downtown (although that was pretty long so opt for the lynx or a $6 cab ride instead) and really enjoyed all the restaurants we found just up the street. The deli on the corner has so-so coffee but great sandwiches. The Friendly Mart (just beyond the Starbucks and Kennedy's on 7th) is a great place to stock up on beer, wine and snacks for the house. The sofa bed is surprisingly comfortable for 2 people (and my husband is 6'2) and we were welcomed and felt pampered from the moment we walked in the door. We are actually planning a trip back later this fall and hope to stay here again. Thanks Jim!

S & K

Stayed two nights, 3 of us, first time in this area of town, and in this residence. Our stay couldn't have been nicer, and in all important factors, we agreed , deserves the highest ratings. Neighborhood quaint and awesome, very reasonable and accessible to downtown Charlotte, house similarly quaint, fresh/clean, many nice touches to catch the eye, and anything one could ask for was available .i.e. washer-dryer, dishwasher, utensils, cable, music, and our abode was plenty roomy. Parking easy and accessible, my favorite was the small porch, comfortably furnished and overlooking the residential neighborhood. A bonus were the unexpected and available 'nice' touches - - cookies, fruit, spaghetti, wine & liquor, breakfast food- toast, etc. While this house had several other units, we barely saw or heard a soul. Delightful, surpassed expectations, and hope to 'be back.

ACC Championship Football

Used VRBO for my 2nd time to go to the ACC Championship game. I can say we couldn't have made a better decision where to stay. The apartment was spotless and very well made up. Jim left us a very nice note offering snacks/adult beverages etc that they left for us. Everything we needed to know was spelled out perfectly beforehand and in our letter. The neighborhood was charming and completely safe. We were a very easy 5 or 6 minute drive to downtown. We did Uber Friday night which was easy and inexpensive. My wife and I couldn't recommend this property enough. Our only complaint/disappointment was that we didn't have enough time to check out some of the restaurants in the neighborhood. That was on us and will not happen again the next time we get down to Charlotte. No question in our minds where we will stay.
