We rented this home for our daughter and her family to stay at during their recent spring break. The property was perfect for their needs. It had room for all the kids (great bunkbed set up) and was so convenient to both the beach and the neighborhood playground. Thanks again for offering them a great spot for their holiday.
Exactly as described and pictured. It rained during our stay and the screened-in porch was perfect! The walk to the beach isn’t bad at all, even with chairs and coolers. There was one palmetto bug outside, but the inside was clean and we had no issues.
We had a great time staying here for a long weekend. The house is small and not updated but honestly we didn’t care. It was clean and had all that we needed. It was easy to get back to Charleston to do things over there and it was a great location for walking to restaurants, shops and the beach on Folly Beach.
We would definitely stay there again.
Cute little spot. House was semi clean except there did seem to be a minor ant issue and the bathroom wasn't the greatest. Decent value for the cost though, and the location was nice.
This cottage was lovely on the inside, however the porch deck and screens need some TLC along with the guttering directly under the porch door. Over all stay was totally awesome.
This property was perfect for my family and I. It took less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach and even closer to Bert's. The restaurants and bars were also a short walk away (less than 10 minutes). The neighborhood is very quiet and family friendly. The inside of the house is very cozy, but we spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch. It's not a fancy place, but it fit our needs perfectly. We'd stay there again.
The house was the perfect size for myself and 2 friends for the week. It was easy access to the beach and to Center Street. I spent most of my time at the house on the screened in porch. We have already talked about booking the house again the next time we go to Folly. Highly recommend it.
Stayed a few days with my wife and our 15yo daughter. House was as-advertised: comfortable, few-minutes- walk from the beach, a few blocks from restaurants and such. Nice sunporch for evening hangouts. When we had a water-pressure issue due to nearby work by the town, the management company responded quickly, maintained good communication. If you're low-key and just want to go about your business, perfect spot. We'd definitely stay there again.
Everything was clean. Beds comfortable. Love the keyless entry. Easy five minute walk to the beach and center of town. Kitchen really needs a larger cooking pot for boiling shrimp. Fan on front porch doesn't work. Would definitely recommend house to others.
The location was great but the cabin needs updates! The shower in the bath is small and difficult to turn around. The kitchen cabinets smell like mildew and wasn't really set up for people who actually cook. Kitchen needs updating.

Roaches
Great location. Older beach house. Needs some updating. Significant roach problem. Reported to property management company - Vacasa - and received no interest from them in resolving the problem. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.
Woken up on day three of our vacation at 6am by a rat helping itself to our SEALED PACKAGED food on the dining table. Hurriedly packed up and relocated to a nearby hotel that happened to have a vacancy so we could enjoy the last two days of our vacation. Property management (VACASA) was difficult to get responses from, initial offer for reimbursement was laughable, still trying to charge me for a cleaning fee! Are you kidding me?? I’ll NEVER book a Vacasa managed property again.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the cozy cottage. It is an older house and could use some attention in some areas. It does have some nice upgrades like the dishwasher, smart tv, and washer and dryer. It is great for our family with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. We were not worried about them breaking anything and there were toys there for them that were age appropriate. They really enjoyed the bunk beds and each kid had their own room.
Things to note if you want to take little kiddos, there is not a bath tub. I noticed this in the listing and was prepared to either bath in the sink or outdoor shower. They LOVED the outdoor shower!
Things to fix/need attention the biggest thing is the window in the middle room. The frame is broke off and there is a huge open gap, about and 1.5-2 inches wide. We stuffed a towel in it and it seemed to seal it fine. Other minor but not deal breakers is no light over the stove, we had to cook with headlamps on because the only light is behind you and it cast a shadow🤣 the front porch is so cute, it just needs a little sprucing up new cushions on the furniture and paint would do it a lot of good.
Lastly, when we arrived it was pouring rain and there are no gutters on the front porch so it was like a river coming down by the front door.
Like I said we had a wonderful time and I would go back in a heart beat. The house was perfect and my suggestions in my opinion would make it better. Thanks for such a great place and time!
My family and I rented the “cozy corner” for two months this summer following our evacuation from Ukraine. We understood the cottage was small and beachy and we’re ready to tolerate things that go along with that. Unfortunately the house is more run down than advertised. We had to ask to have a huge gapping hole in the front porch screen door repaired immediately upon arrival. However there were numerous other holes in the porch that made it unusable. The refrigerator leaked and although we alerted the property management, no one ever fixed it. Heavy rains flooded below the house and a broken sump pump was never fixed although we also told management about it, leading us to nickname the house “the pontoon”. There was some kind of sewage backup which we also reported and also was not addressed. We asked to be moved to a different property and were not given options. Ultimately we left the house early when we discovered it was infested with termites and could hear them devouring the wall in the bathroom. I would highly recommend removing this property from your listings , so others don’t have to withstand the hygiene issues and stressors we did. We were reimbursed for some of our stay but it was thoughtless without any note or apology from vacasa.
