In the convenient and upscale neighborhood of Forest Park, this completely renovated dream home has every luxury. Located on a quiet, private street with two-car carport just one step into the kitchen and entire main level. Lovely, lush landscaped grounds with private walled garden, grand gourmet kitchen with Alabama White marble countertops, Wolf commercial range, Subzero Refrigerator and large pantry. Breakfast room with seating for 6 and large laundry room off of kitchen. Spacious living room with tons of natural light and gleaming ebony hardwood floors, custom Limestone wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and dining with seating for 6. The home sleeps 9 comfortably. Master suite, two guest rooms and two full baths on the main level and an enormous master suite downstairs with private study with twin sized daybed, room sized walk in closet, large bathroom with over sized soaking tub and separate glass shower, private lavatory closet and double vanities. House is nicer than the photos even show, and the neighborhood is very quiet and very safe. Definitely in a good area, and about 8 minutes east of Sloss.

Great house in great location

Owner is very well organized and thorough with the check-in process, the house is beautiful and in a great and convenient, location. Definitely will rebook here for our next trip to Birmingham.

Great location

My family rented this house while in town for a wedding. It is close to so many great restaurants and bars. It was a large house with ample space. The kitchen is super nice, and there are plenty of spots to sit around and visit with the family.

Perfect Home

We absolutely loved the house and the fenced in backyard. We were in town for a family wedding and this was the perfect alternative to a hotel, especially with children. Plenty of room, pleasant decor and great energy. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Birmingham!

Nice house. Check in was a challenge

The house was perfect for our needs, from location to the house design. Check in was different from any other house I’ve rented on VRBO, requiring a phone call with the owner, instead of communication through email or text. It was a challenging dynamic to receive important information (like the lockbox code and specific house instructions) verbally. It felt like it would have been less stressful on both parties if communication was more automated.

Close to downtown

We were in town for a wedding. The neighborhood was lovely and the property was perfect. Our party was 4 adults, a 16yo, and a 7yo. We were all very comfortable.

This is a spacious home for a family and close friends. The living, dining room and kitchen afford space for all to enjoy and relax. The downstairs suite steals the show so if there is a toss up for bedrooms you know now where to head. Enjoy, Allan

Great Quality for the Price

We came in for my brother's wedding and this house was perfect for our stay! There were 9 of us and there was plenty of room. The bathrooms were just enough to help us get ready. The basement was roomy. The owner is very particular, but rightfully so. I've rented out rv's before and people can be rough and tough to deal with. Call him the day before you arrive and follow his instructions and you will have a good stay. Did not have one issue whatsoever.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

We rented this property to give my Grandmother a Birthday Getaway. The owner, Walton, was extremely helpful during the entire stay. He was thoughtful enough to provide my Grandmother with a wonderful birthday gift. His hospitality was A+. We did not see any rodents, bugs or feces during our stay. Walton provided A1 service and we are definitely coming back. This property is located in a great neighborhood. Book this property, you will not be disappointed!!

Beautiful Home in Perfect location

This beautiful home was perfect for our family in town attending our sons wedding. The house was so spacious and allowed us to spend quality family time together..so much better than being separated in a hotel! The location was close to everything and is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We hosted a dinner party the night before the wedding and everyone in attendance was so impressed with the beautiful furnishings and fascinating artwork on display. The large subzero fridge and gas range was definitely a plus. This was my 1st experience with Home Away and I thought it was a GREAT option. Thank you Mr. Brown for sharing your home.

Perfect Gathering Place

We all had a wonderful time meeting up with friends and family here. The two-story design enabled each family to have its own space. The backyard sitting area was small but there were plenty of chairs and lots of lovely birds and chipmunks. Nice wide refrigerator and the gas stove was a plus! It is located in a quiet neighborhood but is only minutes away from stores and restaurants. The only thing that it did not have that would have been nice was screens on the bathroom windows so they could be opened when needed . . . Otherwise this was a really great house, especially for the price!

Great location, but some inconveniences

This property was in a great location to downtown and a safe area. The house is actually much more spacious than the posting shows with a great outdoor area. However, there were a few inconveniences. At least two of the shower drains were very backed up. We were standing in a puddle about 30 seconds into the shower. There were make up stains on at least two of the towels and no soap bars were provided as previously stated. The dining chairs are not very functional as the cushions are pressed down from a lot of use.

Great place!

The house is exactly as described and pictured on VRBO. Some highlights of the house: * Very clean. * Kitchen well stocked with dishes, cup, pots, pans, knives and cutlery. More than enough for our group of 9. * Tastefully decorated: Nice artwork on the walls. * Very nice and quiet neighbourhood. * Convenient location. It seemed like any place we needed to go to in Birmingham was 15-20 mins away. We were two families (9 people including children ranging in age from 18 - 12). The house was just right for us in terms of space. We grilled one night and cooked another night. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed. (We did have to get charcoal and matches for the grill from a nearby grocery store; the owner had told me ahead of time we might need to do that.) I spoke to the owner, Walton, the day before we checked in. He was very friendly. He gave us clear and detailed instructions and had some very helpful suggestions for things to do and places to eat at in Birmingham. We got to the house slightly before check-in time, while the cleaners were still there. They too were very friendly and welcoming. I was impressed by how thoroughly they cleaned. We will certainly rent from Walton again if we are back in Alabama.

This place was beautiful and in a wonderful, convenient neighborhood. The check-in process was confusing because the owner said “contact me on my cell phone one to two days before your stay.” I texted them the day before, but never heard back, I messaged again through the VRBO app, and the owner said “I don’t do things that way. Read the instructions.” He should make it clear that he wants to be called, not texted. For a place this nice, it seemed weird that he would only provide two rolls of toilet paper and no shower soap. When I finally got to talk to him, I was on the way there. He said “bring your own beauty products, it’s not a hotel”, so it was too late to buy soap (I don’t really consider soap a “beauty product.)” The owner rude again when I called him when the alarm went off after a brief power outage, telling me to hit buttons on the panel that didn’t exist. It should be noted that one of the five bedrooms is only accessible by walking through the master bedroom. Otherwise, the place was nice and clean.
