There is even a wet bar if you would like to treat yourself to a refreshing cocktail or mocktail. These are just a few of the countless amenities that you will discover. Enjoy yourself on the beautiful, pristine beach, swimming in the community pool overlooking the ocean, or fishing on the nearby pier. The location and view are perfect for large families with young children. The house is comfortable and clean, and small problems were quickly corrected with a phone call to Vacasa.
House is a great location - we were visiting my son at Camp Lejeune and this was very conveniently located and has a GORGEOUS view! Set up well with all the pota, pans, dishes and utensils you could need for large groups. We had an amazing trip!

Topsail Island Treat
The home was clean and roomy with plenty of space for a large family. We loved the view from the 3 decks and of course the beach. Grandkids loved the proximity to the private pool and the well-stocked beach toys. We had a few maintenance issues that were addressed promptly and graciously by Vacasa - other property managers we’ve used in the past at Topsail were not as helpful.

I would not go back to stay at Villas by the Sea. We had issues with mold throughout the house, water intrusion during heavy rain, and logistics issues upon arrival that required intervention by the Vacasa team to get us into the house. The location is great and the Vacasa customer service was great, but the house needs work…

The home was in great shape and very clean! It worked perfect for the multiple families in our group. The location was absolutely perfect. My husband, our children, and I have been to Topsail multiple times, this was our first time staying in North Topsail. While it is a bit of a drive to get to Surf City (15-20 minutes), but we didn’t mind it because of how perfect the ocean view is from this home. We loved having access to the pool and used it multiple days.
The only problem we had with our stay was not being able to use the elevator during our stay. We contacted the company multiple times, and one technician did come out, but unfortunately it was not able to be resolved during our week long stay.
Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely book this house again.

Excellent view with some problems
The view was excellent. The Oceanside experience was worth it. However, there was several issues with the house. On the third floor there was black mold coming out of the wall outlets and on the ceiling of the shower. The upstairs fridge did not work the entire week we spent there. There was also mold on the first floor shower curtain. A leaky air vent on the second floor bedroom. Although, the house house came equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, coffee makers, etc. great view but some major issues needs to be worked on.

Not so great.
The home is difficult to get into upon initial arrival. We had issues with cockroaches during our stay... we had 5 inside the home that were killed and disposed of during our 1 week stay. Many of the doors do not align properly so the locks don't work or the wind will blow it open. The living room smelled like moldy feet. The light switches and TV remotes were way to complicated. Overall we were not pleased with this property or how Vacasa handled some of the issues we had. We did reach out to customer service and were met with a response that didn't take our request seriously. On a positive note, the house is in a nice location and very close to the beach. The pool was also nice.

Let me address the CONS first: 1-Lack of communication with host (BIG PROBLEM) 2-Elevator entry was a bad deal (big problem) 3-Phyllis called our house phone to communicate with us (big problem) we were at the beach! 4-2 other doors need attention: entry door from stairs will not stay shut unless locked and bathroom door off of kitchen will not lock 5-no information about garbage pick-up posted in the house 6-no information about how to work the TV's (we had 2 little ones who could not stay at the beach all day)
PROS 1-We liked the house, the ice machine, the wine cooler, hot tub, nice big kitchen but not very well stocked for the price of the house and we liked the abundance of sharks teeth

They noted that when they reached out by calling the number in the ticket, they did not know if was a house phone and we regret any disconnect in communication you may have felt. The doors are scheduled to be checked and instructions on how to operate the TV will be added. Our team pulls the trash can in and out weekly and details will be posted in the home. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.
We rented through VRBO and ended up with a Vacasa property. Vacasa is TERRIBLE. The whole reason we rented this house was because of the elevator that didn’t work the entire time we were there, with no prior notice that it did not work. Having stage 4 cancer that spread to my spinal cord, I had back surgery and we really needed the elevator that subsequently did not work. Additionally, there was black mold on the shower curtains and vents and BLOOD and URINE on the mattress protectors in 2 of the rooms. This poses a significant health risk, particularly to my 7 month old baby that was crawling around on the beds. Horrible experience.
