There were lots of interesting businesses nearby in the historic downtown area and many attractions. We particularly enjoyed The town's architectural attractions, the planetarium, art galleries, historical museum and USS Edson.
Wonderful place! Fit our needs perfectly! Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed. Was very surprised at how large the pull out couch bed was & it was also comfortable as well for a pull out! Loved the location! Walking distance from food, quiet neighborhood. If we ever end up back in the area again, would most definitely stay again! The host was wonderful & even checked in on us to make sure everything was good! Highly recommend!
This first floor 1-bed apartment style was perfectly for my stay was for a work event in the area. The property was clean, well kept and had everything you needed including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, Q-tips, hangers for clothes, an ironing board and iron and luggage stands. There are two window unit air conditioners that cool the rooms down quickly-one in the living room space and one in the bedroom. I had trouble with the TV and Bill was super responsive to getting a new one hooked up and running while I was working during the day. I stayed during some of the hottest weather in July and with both AC units running, incidentally flipped a breaker. Again, Bill had it fixed within 15mins!! The only surprise was two occupied upstairs apartment spaces…the house has a shared entrance porch area with stairs to the left that go up to the apartments. The occupants were not a bother at all and were quiet during the night hours. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe.I would definitely stay again if work brought me back in this direction!
