About Mara Williams
We are a local family who have lived in the Pacific Northwest our whole lives. My grandparents built the cabin next door to this log cabin in 1973 and were neighbors for over 30 years. We grew up hunting, fishing and playing with the neighbors and felt we were a part of each other's family. In 2003, my husband I & purchased the log cabin with their blessing to continue the tradition of family time at the cabin and we have had many wonderful times with our own two kids, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents & friends.

Why Mara Williams chose Packwood
Because our family cabin was next door, it was the perfect fit when we bought the log cabin for our own family. My grandparents established many cabin traditions including hot chili on the stove when we came down from a day of skiing and lots of cabin games. When we bought the cabin 15 years ago our two boys were in preschool and kindergarten and over the years we have spent more quality family time than can be expressed. Now that they are teenagers, we find ourselves staying home on weekends for sports and activities and want to share our special cabin with other families.
What makes this Cabin unique
One of the great things about the log cabin is that it is set up for families. There are plenty of beds and a full kitchen to prepare home cooked meals. The log cabin itself is really the most unique benefit of this cabin. Just being inside reminds you of a time that is a slower pace. We have kept not only the original log cabin in tact, but done several upgrades to the stairs (for stability & charm) and the bathrooms. We also added WIFI for your convenience.
