Perfect blend of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty awaits with this cozy 3BR, 2BA rural Iowa home on scenic acreage just 25 minutes from Davenport. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and excellent cellular coverage. Unwind on the porch, go for a nature walk, or use the super fast 2Gig internet. Ideal for couples, small families, remote workers, or a small gathering of close friends. Sleeps up to 7 adults comfortably with 1K, 1Q, 2T beds, and a couch. Pet-friendly as well.

This house sits on an 8.5-acre property which was purchased in June 2025 to be the future home of Precious Acres Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Little has been done in preparation for the rescue other than fundraising and yard preparations. Installation of a perimeter fence will begin in the S7mmer of 2026, followed by the construction of a kennel building. In the meantime, the house is being rented to help offset property expenses. So staying helps the rescue cause.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Return house to the condition is was at the start of your stay.
Turnoff space heaters and fans, return cooling and heating settings to comfortable levels.
Disposal of all pet waste.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Flush only toilet paper provided and natural waste. Do not flush any sanitary items, paper towels, or wipes, even if they are labeled as "flushable".
Drain only non-solidifying liquids in the sinks. Discard all food debris, cooking oil, fat, grease and coffee grounds in the trash.
Please do not enter the barn or poultry house and do not climb the windmill tower in front of the house. Please no fishing or swimming in the pond.

This property was very comfortable and inviting. My family and I stay here for a quick get away. We will be back to visit and stay feel good that our dollars support a Nonprofit Animal Rescue.

Hello, I'm an IT Director and budding real estate investor, and my wife is a practicing veterinarian of 25 years. Our dream is to have a nonprofit animal rescue. We acquired this land in June of 2025 to help make that dream come true and give us cause for early retirement. While the land and outbuildings is intended to be used by the rescue, at this time the house is not, and the thought of it sitting empty isn't appealing. So we decided to do short-term rentals of the house to help offset some of the expenses. Our experience with short-term rentals is as a traveler, and we have put forth great efforts to ensure guest comfort.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy in this neighborhood because the property has everything we have been looking for as a location to have an animal rescue. It has rolling hills, a one-acre pond, and outbuildings. It's not too far from Davenport, but far enough.

What makes this property unique

The property is unique because of the cause it supports as well as the setting. The proceeds gained from renting the house help cover property expenses for the future home of Precious Acres Animal Rescue & Sanctuary. It's secluded, private, and quiet. It is approximately 8.5 acres of beautiful unspoiled rural land. It has a private one-acre pond, ideal for kayaking, sunbathing, or just watching. The pond draws in a variety of critters, particularly birds. Woodchucks, chipmunks, raccoons, heron, turtles, frogs, are just a few of the critters we've seen out here.
