Clean place and responsive host. Enjoyed our stay. Space heaters helped with the cold and there were plenty of blankets. Sheets and blankets smelled clean. Water pressure really good. Host does live above, and can definitely hear movements and voices which disrupted sleep at times. But overall, a great place in a great location and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is GREAT with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The apartment was great with everything you need. It was a bit cold at night and no control over temperature. We had lots of blankets though so not too bad.

Amazing location- just a block or two walk from a great variety of restaurants, coffee shops, shops. Host was very responsive and instructions were clear. Place was clean and decorated nicely. Two drawbacks to this rental are: the host lives upstairs from the rental. This was not clear in the description, and we could hear the host, including conversations. Connected to this drawback is that the thermostat to control the temperature for the rental is located upstairs in the hosts' home, so we couldn't control the temp. They did provide space heaters but you could only use one at a time, so only one bedroom could be made warmer overnight. Just some things to consider!

Thank you for the review, Amy! It was a pleasure hosting you. We’re glad you enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. We apologize for any noise or temperature discomfort you experienced. We do live on-site to be immediately available for our guests, and we’re always happy to adjust the central air or heat upon request at any hour. We are also looking into further sound-proofing measures to ensure the space remains a quiet retreat. We appreciate you helping us improve the guest experience!

What a gem!!! Our host, Alana, was amazing. The property was just what I hoped it would and more. It was conveniently located to many of the areas I was wanting to explore. The neighborhood was a bonus; quiet, peaceful, and numerous local shopping and eating establishments. I would highly recommend!!!

About the host

Hosted by Alana

Host profile image
I'm a California native who calls Denver home, spending much of my time in the mountains hiking and skiing. When in Denver, you'll find me discovering neighborhood culinary gems, experimenting in my own kitchen, enjoying peaceful walks by Sloan's Lake, or savoring quiet moments with a good book.

Why they chose this property

West Highlands has walkability, charm, and great people. Whether out walking their dogs, biking with kids, or sitting on their front porch with a cup of coffee, folks are friendly, enjoy the outdoors, and embrace living in the area.

What makes this property unique

Location cannot be beat, steps from the farmers market on Sundays (May-October), a wine shop, boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants. The neighborhood has a great dinner scene but quiets down after that, allowing for a restful stay.
