People still cleaning when we arrived at 4:00 to check in. They left a lot of dirty towels behind. Oven door hung by left screws right side just dangled. Sent pictures to host but no one came to fix them. Pool was dirty and very low hot tub also. Turns out pool not safe so we never got to use it. Hot tub got cleaned the second day we were there but not everyone could use it. Pregnant lady and small children were not comfortable to get in plus it has no handrail at all. The sandy beach was under water and not a safe place to get in the lake. So we had a disappointing family vacation where we had planned to hang out at the pool for several days ending up inside to keep cool. There were plenty of beds and all were very comfortable! Gameroom helped a little to be together but not completely desirable. We would have had a volleyball game if we could have cooled off in a pool. We ended up renting a boat to go to a sandy island for a day. Having a pool was our priority and I made sure there was one since the information listed one but did not show one in the pictures. I contacted them and they assured me one was being built and would be ready for us. Did not work out. I would want to see more pictures before I book agsin

We stayed here for a family reunion in June. The property and house are HUGE! It was nice having so much space and plenty of places to sleep. The main house had lots of room for seating at the dinner table, the living room, and the patio. Lake Buchanan is beautiful, and we had fantastic views of the lake from the house. Overall, we had a fun weekend, but were a bit disappointed by the condition of the home. We paid quite a bit to stay there, so we were surprised by the shabby carpet downstairs and the cheaply made window treatments throughout. The master bedroom was quite bright in the morning. The listing says "private beach," but because the landscaping could use some attention, you have to walk through some underbrush (including poison ivy) to get to the "beach." The lakeside patio, gazebo, and boathouse were dirty and in need of some repair. The pool is an OK above-ground pool with a leak. We rented a boat, but the pier and boat ramp were not accessible. If we had paid less for our rental, we would be fine with the shabby state of things, but we were expecting a much "grander" home (as the name and photos suggest).
