About this property

NEW Owner! Hideaway - by Lock & Key Cabins, Broken Bow, OK

The Hideaway is a traditional-style cabin centrally located close to Hochatown, the Choctaw Landing Casino, and Beavers Bend state park! Quiet location adjacent to US Forest land. The Hideaway has porches on the front and back, with 1 King-size bedroom downstairs, and a loft with 2 queen beds upstairs. Fully equipped kitchen with dining for 8, plus tables for 4 on both the front porch and rear deck. The hot tub at the rear of the cabin overlooks the fire pit, forest, and adventure! Home is furnished to sleep 6, and connected to fiber-optics with TVs in each room. The "Hideaway" is located next door to the smaller "Cottage", and rented simultaneously they create a great layout for family getaways where couples can have separate spaces.

The 12-year owner of this cabin just sold to us at the end of November 2025 and we're excited to have this second-home as a short-term rental. This is the same great space, but new perspective and first-time cabin owner enthusiasm.

Our cabin hostesses can also provide pre-arrival setup and grocery shopping. They can have your getaway ready for anything from a romantic weekend to a family dinner. Whether you're just looking for a rose-pedal scattered entry, or a meal ready to serve upon arrival, this crew is enthusiastic about taking your getaway to the next level of fantastic. Email if you are interested and we will provide their contact information for pricing.

About the host

Hosted by Chris

Host profile image
Welcome to my home away from home! My name is Chris and I live in Sulphur Springs, 2 hours from the cabins. I've visited Broken Bow to camp and hike for most of my adult life, so purchasing a cabin here is a dream come true!
While I work full-time retail in this chapter of life, I've spent the prior chapters in the hospitality industry, as a wine sommelier, caterer, and manager of a bed & breakfast. Managing the B&B whetted my appetite for becoming a full-time host.

Why they chose this property

I've enjoyed the Ouachita's for most of my life, but when I visited the Hideaway and the Cottage I knew I'd found the place where I could become a host. The forest behind the cabins were the number one selling point, but the old rock foundation between the driveways was the second. What a great common area for a fireplace! We plan to make that space a "love lock" arbor where folks can commemorate their stay here with a padlock on the railing of an outdoor living room under the stars.

What makes this property unique

So close to all of the attractions (literally a couple of minutes), yet so far removed when you sit in silence out on the porch hearing only the trees, leaves and birds.
