Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations.A portion of our damage deposit was withheld for “cloudy” hot tub water after our 5-day stay, despite very minimal use. We were not provided with any instructions for proper hot tub care or use. Additionally, the hot tub cover was in poor condition, with visible gaps that allowed rain and debris to enter, which likely contributed to the issue. The amount charged also exceeded what was indicated on the bill. We contacted the host to dispute the charge and request a refund for the overage, but received no response. There were also notable safety and cleanliness concerns. The smoke detector was detached from the wall and not functional, with no battery installed. We reported this to the host during our stay, but it was not addressed. Afterward, we noticed a previous guest had raised the same issue in February, which is concerning.Outdoor maintenance was also lacking. There was no snow removal, and the entrance was difficult and unsafe to access due to a slope covered in ice and packed snow. Unfortunately, the advertised fire pit was buried in deep snow.Overall, these issues significantly impacted our experience, and based on our stay, we would not recommend this property.
