About this property
Outback magic in the Hinterland!
The Stables offers unique accommodation with a taste of the Australian Outback. This rustic mudbrick and timber cottage has a self contained studio upstairs (Queen bed plus a sofa bed) with all the mod cons and little touches of luxury, set within 2 acres of beautiful hinterland gardens. Downstairs you will find a sensational games room with a classic David Brodie pool table and bar and wall mounted LED smart TV. The barn doors can be opened to invite the late afternoon sun and the sounds of the myriad bird varities.
The studio apartment upstairs has a 38" LED smart tv and sound bar. Furnished with an eclectic mix of new furniture and old artwork, it has a very country feel. Downstairs the mudbrick games room is home to a growing collection of country paintings, old farm implements, a David Brodie pool table and bar, leather chairs and cowskin hides. And a 42" LED smart tv and sound bar for entertainment whilst you play pool. If you prefer something quieter, light the fire pit by the dam and watch the evening fade away. May not be suitable for mobile children due to the unfenced dam, but a travel cot is available for very young children by prior arrangement.
The Stables shares the grounds with Magnolia Cottage; separated by a rustic courtyard. Both properties share the footpath running along the front of the Stables. The "home" garden in front of the cottage is for use by the cottage only (fenced for dogs). The rest of the 2 acre grounds are shared, including the dam.

We stayed at The Stables on two very wet days & were cosy, warm and happy to while away the hours in our very own bar. The pool table was a godsend, & with our music playing, beers in the fridge, nibbles on the bar, we had a great time. The decor was lovely as were the gardens & grounds, very peaceful. Location was very handy to Cooroy, Eumundi & Noosa, so we still got out & about between showers. Will be back again sometime,
Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay. Nicci was a great host answering all the questions we had prior to arrival. The property was perfect and a fully met our expectations. As a family we all really enjoyed the games room and the property would also be just as perfect for a couple. Quick access to the freeway meant day trips were a busy as was getting into Cooroy for a trip to the supermarket. We are looking forward to staying again.
The Stables was the eclectic cozy rustic abode we sought and experienced in one of our favourite hinterland areas. We had everything we needed and really relaxed. A favourite for us was our sundowners each evening down at the dam, where we melted into the soft fading evening light to a symphony of bird and pond life...tranquil and magical.

just far enough from the madding crowd
from the moment you turn into the driveway, this beautiful piece of paradise is a joy and delight the gardens are magnificent - an inspiration for the nature lover - the visiting wildlife abundant (I never knew there were hares in queensland)! - and as for the house itself! it is such a pleasure to stay in a place that is truly a home, where you can feel the thought that has gone into each piece - and the little balcony upstairs is a perfect place to just sit and read the day away. location wise, you are a hop skip and a jump away from the wonderful town of Cooroy that really does have everything that you could wish for - even great coffee (a must for every Melbournite) - as well as great op shops and second hand furniture shops, clothes shops, book shops - and of course the wonderful arts complex - the butter factory. with wonderful bush walks and endless white dog friendly beaches all within 25 minutes drive of this beautiful location, why would you want to stay anywhere else?
