Listing description and pictures were misrepresentative of actual property. Front porch screen door would not lock, hole in wall and ceiling with exposed wires. There was a 3rd bedroom on the second floor which was key locked from the inside which made us uncomfortable, as we were traveling with small children. We chose not to stay at all. We walked in and walked out. We did communicate our concerns to the host who, up to that point, was very responsive but once concerns were conveyed did not respond to our request for a refund. Property was just not up to our previous VRBO standards. Would not recommend. Again, we chose NOT to stay here so can only comment on our initial first impressions. We sent photos and spoke directly to VRBO who did refund us our money.

To clarify this review, the front screen door does, in fact, lock, and is not complicated to navigate. There is also a steel front door beyond that, so that is not a safety issue. Also, it’s not uncommon for a host to have a room locked in the residence because that is where personal belongings are stored. I’m a bit confused about your take on the door being locked from the inside. That suggests that someone was potentially in that room and locked it from the inside. The key lock is clearly on the outside of the door. Further, I had to have unexpected, minor, repairs done to my home, and the person I hired did not show up in time for your arrival to patch up the very small cut out inside. There is, and never was, a hazardous situation in my home, and your dramatic response is indicative of someone who will never be satisfied. I’ve been renting my home on other platforms with absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Based on your private communication with me, perhaps you’re better suited for a motel experience, and not a stay in a personal residence. My communication ended with you when I contacted VRBO to handle your difficult personality, and not indicative of my common response to other guests, as many have had a lovely experience in my home.
