About this property
Modern Waterfront Yurt for a Romantic Getaway with a Hot Tub in the Monadnock Region, New Hampshire
This modern, fully-equipped, romantic yurt overlooking a small waterfall, and nestled in the trees on 27 acres of wooded and waterfront beauty on the Contoocook River and Powdermill Pond is perfect for a couples getaway. Just 1.5 hrs from Boston and 2.5 hrs from Hartford guests will be able to enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities and local attractions or just decompress at this serene oasis in the heart of the legendary Monadnock Region in southern New Hampshire.
The queen-size bed can accommodate two glampers comfortably, while the wood-burning stove ensures you stay cozy regardless of the weather! An electric heater also helps ensure a comfortable stay. For guest's convenience, the yurt is fully-equipped with amenities and creature comforts that include a flat-screen TV, cable, Wi-Fi and blue-tooth for music and entertainment. There is also a refrigerator, a microwave, a hot plate and a coffee maker for an easy dining experience. Guests will also find a sink at the yurt, a five gallon jug of water and a hand pump, plus a private outdoor shower during the warm weather. A year-round shower and indoor toilet is located at the check in area.
Steps away, you will find an outdoor hot tub, which is only available for you or another couple staying at the Tiny House to reserve 24/7. Linens and towels are provided by the hosts, however, guests may want to bring additional towels for the hot tub, or beach during the summer season.
Outside, there is a deck where glampers can kick-start the day with a simmering cup of coffee as the sun glitters over the small waterfall/dam. There is also a charcoal grill, and a fire pit with a cooktop grill, plus outdoor furniture for enjoying dining and snuggling under the stars. During winter, guests can venture off for a day of skiing, or tubing, or snowshoe and cross country ski on site, while summertime is perfect for swimming, fishing and kayaking right on the property. Boats are available to rent on site for a small fee. Complimentary bicycles are also available. (BYO helmet)
Guests come from all over to experience New England charm and noteworthy outdoor recreation, activities and fun throughout the four seasons. Enjoy hiking Mount Monadnock, (the most hiked mountain in the world), spectacular fall foliage, picking fruit at the local farms, sampling beer and cider at the local breweries, any one of the scenic golf courses, dining out, shopping for antiques or hand crafted goods and gourmet chocolates, and so much more for all ages and life styles!
Pets are welcome but a small pet fee does apply.
